Awesome spot to get a cold treat and hang out after a long day on the beach- s which is what we did! Bala split is massive so I recommend only off your splitting it. Their hot fudge Sundays are also awesome. Great atmosphere. Your served by teenagers so the indifference and moodiness and lack of love out attention is to be expected. But the ambiance and great desserts and treats makes it all worth it!

They only accept cash, and wait times can vary depending on when you visit—but it’s absolutely worth it. (ATM Is available in store) The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the ice cream is incredibly delicious, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. Plus, the walls are decorated with photos of their dogs, which adds such a charming and personal touch! I really loved seeing their dogs pictures and the other decor was all so cute.

If you want ice cream – this is the place to go and has been a round quite a while! They only take cash or Venmo however. There is a ATM inside to get cash however it wasn’t working for me when I tried so glad they accept Venmo. Shakes, ice cream and desserts, it’s a great place to try if you’ve never been.

The ice cream was good . I had the brownie Sunday my kids got a regular ice cream cone. The place looked nice , cute the staff was nice . We got there 30min before closing .

What a fun place to have a sweet treat. Eclectic in style — artwork, figurines, and pet portraits adorn the walls. You can eat indoors or outdoors on the patio. Bring cash, no cards accepted. The wait staff is friendly and fast. They do not offer samples. The pricing was very reasonable — family of 5 spent $20 with tip. I had a slice of cheesecake with raspberry sauce — the kids had a scoop of pistachio and red velvet. Everything tasted great. If the artwork and collectibles aren’t enough to keep you entertained, they’ve got foosball tables. A great little shop right in the middle of town — vacation wouldn’t be as fun without a visit to Deserted Island Ice Cream.

I absolutely love this place. Every time. I go to the beach and pour day. Or I go to San Jose island I always stop here tickets on Blue Bell ice cream. They make a wonderful coffee shakes or milkshakes. they do only take cash. They do have an ATM in the ice cream shop. But I’m not sure how much the fee is.
Regardless of not being able to take card, this place is always pretty much packed every time I go here. They have plenty of seating outside as well inside. they give generous scoops of ice cream, so make sure to rethink that 2 scoop unless you really like ice cream.
They have absolutely adorable photo props outside of the ice cream shop located all around there is limited parking so be prepared for that!

There are several local ice cream spots, but this one has all Blue Bell ice cream and if you’re from Texas, you know what that means.
My husband got a waffle cone with salted Carmel ice cream and it did not disappoint. I was just along for the ride so I didn’t indulge in any of the decadence.
The shop is located adjacent to a cute boutique and totally matches it’s vibe. The outside is bright bubblegum pink with a sigh that says stop and smell the brownies.
They have a very eclectic theme inside with LOTS to look at while you enjoy your treat. When we first arrived, there was a group of 5 senior citizens watching and dancing to country music videos playing on their tv.
They have fun tables for adults as well as kid size tables and even foozeball.
You will want to make a note that they are a cash only shop. They do not accept credit / debit cards. No need to fret if you forget. They have an ATM machine right inside the store.

Every now and then you happen upon a great place you can’t wait to share!! We have been to Port A every year for 15 years or so… how we have never came in here is beyond me, but here we are! Old fashioned Goodrich style ice cream… great flavors, great prices (cash only… but they have an ATM on-site). Great customer service even when we arrived only 15 minutes before closing. They have a TV area and several game areas to keep kids of all ages entertained! Stop in and show them some love!!
