If you find yourself passing through Brookville, you absolutely have to stop by Dairy Cottage. This place is a true small-town staple and a total hidden gem for anyone who appreciates a cozy atmosphere. The location is perfect, situated right on Main Street, making it incredibly easy to find.
The interior has a wonderful nostalgic vibe that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The service is top-notch; the staff is incredibly welcoming, efficient, and they serve you with a genuine smile. As for the food, the burgers are fantastic, and their soft serve is to die for. It’s the perfect spot for a family dinner or a quick bite while on the road. I will definitely be coming back!

Heard a lot about dairy cottage so my wife and I decided to try for the first time. Needless to say we were not impressed and felt it was overpriced. We got the 10pc chicken dinner with jojos. Seasoning on the chicken was good, but the jojos were small, shriveled up and very greasy like they had been in the bottom of the warmer all day. We ended up throwing them away. Something odd we discovered about the dairy cottage is that two of the pieces in the 10 piece dinner were what they called “backs”. This is the part of the chicken that is the lower back area consisting of mostly bone and the fatty tailbone and is typically thrown away. I guess the Dairy Cottage should get a little credit because they’ve found a way to season and sell the useless portion of the chicken. Paid over $26 for the meal and very disappointed. Will never go back.

Chicken strips and Jojos were so disappointing! We think they need to change the oil they’re using to fry. Chicken was hot, but didn’t taste good. Jojos tasted like they were fried in the same old oil and had been sitting around a while.

Delicious food and ice cream! And cheaper than fast food. Would eat here daily if I didn’t live 3 hours away.

As locals will tell you the quality of the food and service has went down hill over the past several years. Hard to get fresh chicken or Joe Joes at anytime of the day. If you go through the drive through you will need to ask for napkins, seems they think people are waiting until they get home to eat??? Seriously, it’s a drive through, napkins should be included as a standard!

We stopped at this little sweetheart for breakfast. The place is so cute and clean. The people are super nice. The food for breakfast is okay…but probably the best you will find for breakfast in Brookville.

Usually a great place for fried chicken. Yesterday, 10/12 not so much. Our chicken (15 PC. Deluxe) as very, very well done (not done well). The breading was dark, almost burnt but not quite. Chicken was juicy, but again the batter was dark brown not golden. While we were at the counter ordering, another guest came up and asked for her chicken to be remade as it was too done. We will likely go back again but this was very disappointing for a $50+ meal for 6.

Nice place, serve a litany of food. Their JoJo’s (potato wedges are really good, the chicken is good as well. Service was pleasant and we appreciate the help. They serve ice cream as well.

I appreciate a restaurant that’s been around since 1958. This is a classic family style fast food restaurant that can stay true to its heritage.
Fried chicken and ice cream are their best sellers. Great service and excellent family style food.
