Our server was extremely rude, unhelpful, and neglectful. She was exacerbated when asked for 1-2 minutes to look at the menu, when we did order she left the food at the window to get cold for so long the nice cook had to bring us the food which was the only pleasant experience of the night. She then came and asked how our food was with all 3 water glasses empty and left without filling them, we waited patiently but eventually had to ask ourselves which she was also upset at bringing and took another several minutes bringing. The guy behind the bar was super nice welcoming and positive, if he was the one who helped us the whole time this review would’ve been 5 stars.

A friend and I ate here on a first date. It was a slam dunk! Perfect atmosphere, great food, and exceptional service. I felt really bad as I am rather poor and so wasn’t able to leave a meaningful monetary “Thank You” however much our waitress truly deserved it ❤️.
Both of us are Celiac sufferers and we’re able to find gluten-free options to suit.

I’ve been a customer of Mcmenamin’s for 20+years. This location really disappoints me. The last couple of visits have really been bad. A couple weeks back my kids and I waited an hour for our food. We almost walked out but considered it was just a bad day. Went for lunch today Sunday. Was not that busy and there was plenty of staff. Yet service was slow and my family and I waited 40 minutes for our order. These folks need to up their game and management plan.

I can’t believe I’m writing this. I LOVE me some McMenamins, but I had the most disappointing experience here. It was the typical atmosphere and unique inside, but food and service needs improvement. I ordered the TNT chicken basket with tots and a bowl of chowder. All pretty normal staples I order on the regular, I’m no stranger to McMenamins. Lol Chowder shouldn’t be watery or runny. Chicken strips were black and burned in some spots, and my tots were almost orange from being overcooked. We waited approximately 25-30 minutes for food, and the establishment wasn’t that busy. There we maybe 5 or 6 seated tables. My sever spoke with the manager, then offered food replacement and said someone new made the soup, implying she knew it wasn’t up to par, but they’re serving it anyway. I declined, not wanting to wait another lengthy time for my meal. She then brought over the card machine to check me out so I could be on my way while another table mate was still eating their food. We were all on one check, so we paid and left. No communication from the manager who was hanging around the bar area, just bye. I’m disappointed, to say the least.

I had the soup, salad, and garlic bread. I’m not even joking it was the best salad and bread I’ve had in forever. I got the greens salad with goddess dressing, and the mushroom soup. I really liked the soup, but I can’t ate too much dairy and it has sour cream. The cranberry margarita was refreshing and looked just like the cute pictures on the menu.

Hands down Shane, Nicole , Sadie, Miles and the rest of the crew are absolutely some of the best humans I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with. I’ve been coming to Portland my entire life but most recently in a professional capacity since August of 2025, these guys and gals have alway gone above and beyond my expectations no matter the amount of bodies in the establishment. If you are every in the area do yourself a favor stop by eat, drink, and be merry.

Parts of the order were missing and I had to go to walk over to the host stand to get help after repeatedly trying to flag down a server. Food was lack luster and the decor wasn’t up to the usual intrigue of a Mcmenamins.
