Today was my birthday, day after Valentine’s…I’m always concerned with going out for food or drinks so close to V-Day, but, this mornings brunch at Cafe Monte was terrific. Our server Samantha (Sam) was attentive, environment was great…place was busy, but the kitchen had no trouble keeping up. Our food was excellent, French Onion soup was delicious, the bacon was crispy (our server actually asked how we liked our bacon, nice touch), I had banana crepes…OMG, delicious ! No complaints at all, highly recommend Blume…price was reasonable for what we received. Good job team…we plan on returning.

I visited Cafe Monte for Saturday brunch, and overall it was a really pleasant experience. The food came out hot, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The waffle was delicious, perfectly crisp, lightly dusted with powdered sugar, and served with warm syrup. The bacon was cooked just right and full of flavor.
We also tried the tuna melt, and while everything else on the table was great, the tuna melt itself wasn’t a favorite. It wasn’t bad, just not as impressive as the other dishes.
Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time, which I really appreciated.
Parking was the biggest challenge. There was construction happening in the lot, so finding a spot wasn’t easy. Once inside though, the food and service made up for it.
Overall, Cafe Monte is a lovely spot for brunch, and I’d definitely return for the waffle alone.

Wow! Great place, excellent service and great food! We stopped in for some brunch for our 31st anniversary. Duck confit & waffle, smoked salmon benedict are both well presented and delicious! Sam (Samantha), our server, was spot-on. It was our first time in, and she was so pleasant and helpful. The beignets were yummy as well. There is also a full bar with some good bourbon choices.
If you are in the South Park area, definitely stop in! We went during the week (Wednesday) and even though we made reservations (highly recommended from reviews on Google), there was no need for them. I’d expect to make them more so for weekend breakfast/brunch/lunch. There is a fairly large parking lot in front of Cafe Monte, and a few spots beside it, so parking shouldn’t be an issue most of the time as it is shared with other businesses in the small plaza.

Met a couple gfs for Sunday brunch at noon, the ambience is beautiful but the food sort of fell flat for me. I ordered the short rib sandwich just to be told few min later they were out of it. So I settled in on the seafood omelette. Was posed to have like crab, lobster and salmon with cheese but honestly barely could find much seafood and if the cheese was there it was very light, almost nonexistent. And the flavor just wasn’t there for me, had high hopes but just didn’t win me over. The jam for the bread was great as well as the sweet tea.

The short rib baguette is a must-try, so good. Friend and I dropped by around 1:30pm on a Saturday and it was a 20-minute wait for a party of 2. Our server was super attentive and friendly. The food was pretty good but a little overpriced, and I was underwhelmed by the hot cocoa (I’ve been on the hunt for good hot chocolate since moving to Charlotte and so far, no luck).

Appetizers, drinks and entrees were enjoyed by all but I wouldn’t go out of my way to dine again. The waitress failed to mention that some of her suggestions were actually up charges. For example, she asked if I would like toast or a croissant with my breakfast. The croissant was an additional $2. She didn’t not ask if we wanted whip cream on our drinks which was an additional .50 per drink. Transparency would have been a better option.

We arrived on Friday around 5:00 p.m. without a reservation. Although the restaurant was already quite busy, we were fortunate to find seats at the bar, which turned out to be the perfect choice.
From the moment we sat down, the atmosphere felt lively and welcoming. The bar staff were friendly, attentive, and highly professional. They prepared excellent, well-balanced cocktails with care and consistency.
The food was equally impressive—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented. The ambiance struck a comfortable balance between energetic and relaxed. Sitting at the bar added to the experience; there was a natural sense of community, as if this were a true neighborhood gathering place where regulars return often.

The food is good, not great. We got warm bread and subzero butter when we were seated. I got the duck which was fine, but the broccolini was cold. My hot date got the lobster and crab crepes which had a good amount of shells in it, but the flavor was nice. Be careful not to trip over all the canes and walkers.

I loved it When my friends come visit I definitely will take them here. I got the parisian omelette and it comes with the omelette with your choice of cheese (definitely get the brie), a potato thing (sorry idk what its called…), fruit , and two slices of bread which was soooo good as well. Im gonna go splurge on brie now…
