An extremely cool joint. Has a great vibe, staff was really nice and the burgers were delicious. A little smaller than I expected like a Jr. Cheese burger but what lacked in quantity made up in quality. My burger had jalapeños, jalapeño jelly and cream cheese. I added American and boy was it good. Messy good! The bun (Martin’s maybe) was excellent , like biting into a cloud.
And the fries were exceptional. I cant say out of my few hundred reviews that I’ve ever mentioned fries but these were cooked and seasoned perfectly. So good.
Will definitely be back.

10/10 every time! I love sours and they always have a great rotation of new sours to try. Emilie is the best but the entire staff is also great! I’ve never had a burger I didn’t like! One of my fav sports in RVA

Seating and wait organization might as well be randomized. They have outdoor seating and indoor seating but if you just want outdoor seating they’ll make you wait behind anybody who only wants an inside table. Foods basic but mostly solid. Beer gimmick was novel 13 years ago and they haven’t come up with a new idea.

I came here because it was highly recommended to me by friends, with the expectant words: “Best burger in Richmond”. Well, I had the Cow Boy and the burger was good, even delicious! But by no means a very good burger, it didn’t convey the feeling of being “fresh” (mainly because of the bun and missing vegetables) like a classic burger, nor would it be filling for anyone, I would classify it as a big slider. Compared to an In and Out burger, it’s not even worth the money. The homemade Jack Brown Sauce is definitely worth a visit (together with fries)! The atmosphere in the restaurant is first class and the service is unique and fast. But if, like me, you’re looking for larger portions, you’re probably better off going to somere else.

I recently visited Jack Brown’s in Richmond, VA, and was utterly blown away by The Chiflet burger. Imagine a juicy 1/3 lb patty crowned with crispy applewood smoked bacon, a perfectly fried egg, and a melt-in-your-mouth American-cheddar blend. The combination was, without exaggeration, out of this world! The ambiance inside is bar-centric with a clean, inviting vibe, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. Though parking might challenge you on the weekends, trust me, a short walk is a small price for such a delightful burger experience. The staff’s warmth made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Great little burger place. Have a little patio area out front with some heaters. We sat outside since we thought the inside was a little loud. It’s not very big, but it was pumping and jumping inside. Service was pretty good, but with a packed house, they work hard, but may take a tad longer when busy. Some creative and unique burgers. All sounded really good. I got the peanut butter one, tasty, but thought the peanut butter kind of overpowered it. The fries were really good too, get’m loaded. Smashed style. Definitely would come back to try some of the colors.

I went for the first time with my sister for lunch. I was surprised on how amazing the food tastes. The portions was just enough for you to enjoy and be satisfied. I would definitely recommend this burger place and will be going back.

First time visiting but it’s going to be a regular for me! Bartenders/Staff were super personable. Beer was ice cold. The burger was absolutely DECADENT and the cninkle fries were cooked perfectly! Totally worth the calorie bomb! Small stools outside can be hard to fit on!!

Dang. If you only had a few choices in life to eat.. it needs to be here! Burgers are cooked to perfection with many options to dress it up. Great fries as well. Went at lunch on a weekday and it was packed.. I can imagine it fills up fast at night. Been in Richmond 7 years. Top Burgers, hands down.
If you’re in town, eat here.

It is a nice small local place, though I felt because we were not regulars, the staff was impatient with us and our questions. The burgers were pricey and the grilled cheese was a fail. The fries were good and you get a fair amount.
