Came here for lunch and we were the only customers. We ordered the following:

Pork BBQ – great flavor, but would’ve been better if there was a char on the meat.

Siomai – just okay, tasted like store bought.

Beef Sinigang – we ordered the cup size and it was surprisingly a big portion. Love that it was more sour, just how we like them. We enjoyed this so much!

Beef Bowl – tasty, I wanted more! Small portion for us.

Sisig – different from the usual Sisig. It was not chopped and there was too much fat.

Overall, we had a great experience and we will come back!

My wife and I stopped by for lunch and had a great experience. We started with BBQ on a stick and siomai which were both delicious. For the mains, we ordered the beef bowl, pork sisig, and sinigang. Everything we tried was flavorful and satisfying. Overall, it was a really enjoyable lunch. Awesome service too!

The food was great! I ordered chicken adobo, beef lumpia and a pork sandwich. Service was quick and polite. The atmosphere was pretty awesome. There was a bar area with tvs playing anime. The dining room was very large. There is no outdoor seating but, the restaurant is in the center of downtown. Handicap accessible. Public restrooms.

We recently moved to the area and decided to check this place out. Since it was our first time here, we got really good recommendations from Turner and Billy. We started with the ube colada cocktail, which was surprisingly REALLY GOOD for non-drinker like me. We tried the gator rangoon, beef lumpia, pulled pork plate, and the ube cake roll. All was phenomenal. Overall, great atmosphere, good food, and amazing customer service. Definitely check them out when you’re in the area!

Our server Angie was delightful! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some great recommendations. The bartender Billy made me a fabulous mocktail! The food was fresh, piping hot, and the flavors were so good! Thursday night is karaoke. We would come back to Lily’s.

We drove 2 hours from Savannah to attend an anime convention and was happily surprised this Asian-American spot was close by. My daughter’s name is Lily so she was stoked to eat here. Turner greeted us and made us feel like we were lifelong friends. He offered to blend us a Ube Coconut Colada mocktail and it was the tastiest, smoothest, deep purple drink I’ve ever tasted! Neither of us had ever eaten gator before but we had the gator Rangoons and they sparked joy like no other appetizer! The Chicken plate was simple but delicious and met my dietary needs perfectly. Turner even gave Lily the poster from Anime karaoke night as a souvenir. We will return next time we visit Jacksonville.

Great experience. Alligator rangoons are absolutely fantastic. Services was amazing and prices were very fair for the food you got. Chicken adobo for main course was a great meal. Bartender made fantastic drinks and recommendations.

I have been looking forward to visiting this place ever since I moved nearby 2 months ago. Came in today for a to-go order. I ordered one pork siomai and a beef rice bowl (which seems to be what they’re calling their Japanese gyudon).

The service was super nice and charismatic. They even convinced me to visit on Thursdays for karaoke. The ambiance was great, with a clean metropolitan look, anime influence on one side, and more traditional Chinese on the other.

Unfortunately the thing that I weigh most heavily, the food, did not fare as well.

I’ll start with the siomai. To speak plainly, it was bad. I imagine it may have been good at some point, but this was clearly reheated (and overcooked) in a microwave as indicated by the extremely hard and chewy wrapper. Even the meat itself was gummy and dry on the outside. Perhaps if they fried these instead, it would compensate for that clearly not-at-all-fresh taste. Respectfully, if this is how this is supposed to taste, I don’t think this should be on the menu.

The gyudon fared better. It was unremarkable, but the flavors were correct, with the sweet and savory combo you’d expect. The onions were plentiful and the portion of beef was generous, which is appreciated because as this is traditionally a very casual and cheap meal. I know there is always going to be premium on Japanese food in the states, but I would hope a 15 dollar gyudon would compensate a bit by providing a generous portion, and Lily’s does that. The beef itself was just okay. I wish it were thinner and/or fattier and/or juicier. Just a bit on the dry side, but fine. The gooey egg was also a very nice compliment. The only other gripe is that I wish they’d use stickier short grain rice. Gyudon needs that for the rice to stand up to the sauce. This seemed more like a medium to long grain. It was cooked fine and still a bit sticky, just not ideal for this dish.

I know this has been pretty negative, but the positives are enough to convince me to try Lily’s again. The location is great and the folks there seemed nice. That goes a long way. I’d like to try their pork sisig. I just hope their pork belly is treated with more care than their siomai.

Came by here while waiting for the Bold Matsuri after party. Had wanted to try for some time so figured now was it and I’m happy i did. Ordered the gator Rangoon and Pork sisig. Everything came out quickly, hot and fresh. The Gator rangoons were properly filled and crispy with nice chunks of Gator. The meat was tender and honestly a surprise that it worked so well. The Pork Sisig with a nice runny egg was crisp and a great portion! Would definitely come back!

We came here because the reviews were good. But we were very disappointed. My salad came with avocado, which was not edible – very hard and not tasty. The rice in the poke bowl was sticky. But the most important thing is that they mixed up and brought us food to take home, although we waited in the restaurant for 30 minutes to eat. When we said that we would eat at the restaurant, no one bothered to put our food on normal plates! They just gave us 2 black bags with foam boxes! A nightmare. Service is zero.
