Well I have been keeping my expectations low recently due to a few meals in Pittsburg KS and the Rib Crib excelled in pushing that expectation down even further. It was simple meal one that I thought you’d have to put effort into screwing-up – a hamburger-double with cheese.
What was given to me was by far, the most unholy charred patties ever to survive a orbital re-entry. I mean as little concern I have for such a fast-food selection I would have expected something with some moisture. I got more than half way through my “crunch-burger” when the distinct taste of charcoal finely hit me.
My recent disappointments in simple-food preparation has turned into a Dante’s Inferno experience into culinary HELL. I’ve known drunk Texans during Thanksgiving capable of deep frying a turkey with better cooking skills than it took to torch these cave-wall painting sticks.
Since I didn’t order the ribs or other specials, I can only imagine that this was an an act of malice to teach me to order a burger in a rib place. It’s either that or the cook suffers from a sever case of ADD.
Another establishment has been added to the NEVER GO BACK TO list….ever.

Server Cassie was very attentive and friendly. Food was very good and came out fairly fast. Took daughter there for her birthday dinner. Her choice. I cut my burger up to make it easier to eat.

What a wonderful experience! From the very start, Kyler was the very best host we have ever had, very attentive and let us pic a booth to your liking. After we sat down, he came over to make sure the booth was clean and we had all our silverware. He really went the extra mile.
As always, Regan was a wonderful server as expected!
And wow! The manager Troy, makes a really good glass of milk!

Our food was great and so was service. The ribs are tender but not mushy. Great flavor and sauce was not needed. They have 2 options. Both are great.
The Roughneck burger was amazing.

The food is fine. However, I ordered a pick up but they did not give me cutlery. It’s fine. I can get a fork from my hotel.
Then, I found the wipe (actually just package but no wipe) was open (see photo 1). So why you put an empty package that was used by someone else in my order? It’s still fine. A wipe isn’t something necessary.
Then guess what? After I start eating, I found a piece of “BBQ Napkin” from my pulled pork. (Photo 2)
?????? Can anyone explain?
Finally, what made me feel the saddest was that I gave them a $3 tip when I ordered food online. So sad. I wish I didn’t.

The three rack rib basket is the rib entree. So, please tell me how, when you go the extra mile and get two,three or four meat you get a quarter pound of any meat but, with ribs you get two? That equals about a quarter pound with the bone in. It should most definitely be at least three. So ridiculous that this is the last time I’ll eat here simply for the greed at the top. Can’t abide it.

A very good BBQ joint. We all had the combo lunch special for $11.49. It was more than enough to fill a fat guy like myself and was some the the best bbq I’ve had in some time. Our server was fantastic. She was very attentive and kept our sodas full which is an A+ in my book.
