The food was good, the drinks were ok, the atmosphere was nice, loved the decor, with all the plants.
Our server was very nice, she was very patient with us and explained well anytime we had questions. The entree sizes are pretty big, I left feeling stuffed.
I had the chicken and waffles, and it was 10/10 for me.
It was my birthday, so they gave me a compliment creme Brule which was good as well
From the beginning, the planning process was smooth and stress-free. I worked closely with Gelila, the private party and events concierge, and she was professional, prompt, and extremely efficient with email communication. Every question was answered quickly, and when we had a last-minute emergency that required changing our event date, they responded right away and accommodated the reschedule with no issues at all.
The rental cost for the private space was very reasonable and feasible for what was offered, as it is the spending limit for your party.
The restaurant itself is classy, elegant, and located in a prime area. Verdura has several beautiful spaces available for private events, and their website is visually appealing and detailed, making it easy to choose the right space for your needs. The décor, branding, and marketing of this restaurant are truly stellar.
A day or two before the event, I connected with the manager to go over final details. One thing to note for anyone planning an event here: guests are required to RSVP through a reservation link and pre-select their menu items in advance to ensure timely service. While I understand the purpose, this was a bit challenging since not all guests RSVP promptly. It required a lot of follow-up on my end, and I even received reminder calls the day before and the day of the event that some guests still hadn’t selected their meals. With everything else going on, that part was somewhat stressful and worth considering when planning.
Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the hostess and escorted to our reserved area. The space was absolutely beautiful, and the ambiance throughout the restaurant was amazing. There was even a live saxophonist playing, which added such a pleasant and elegant touch to the event.
Decor guidelines are fairly strict. (limited balloons-8, cake allowed for $25 fee but honestly, the space is already so stunning that very little décor is needed. Our small setup was more than enough.
We hosted a baby shower brunch, all items—from the pancakes, eggs, chicken and waffles, appetizers, cocktails, and mocktails—was delicious and beautifully presented. Every single item ordered was delectable.
We did have a spending minimum based on our party size (25-30guests)we were aware of ahead of time. While this was clearly outlined in the contract, there were frequent reminders during the event that we hadn’t reached the minimum yet. A couple of check-ins would have been fine, but the repeated reminders felt a bit excessive and disruptive.
Unfortunately, our main challenge during the event was with our primary server, Rich. From the beginning, his demeanor felt rushed and abrupt. There were moments where he seemed impatient with guests, cut people off while they were speaking, and hurried food service in a way that felt uncomfortable. At one point, he attempted to remove my plate while I was still eating, despite me clearly stating otherwise. His interactions often felt tense, not only with guests but also with another server assisting us, Sienna, who was calm, patient, and very pleasant throughout the event.
As the hosts, we also felt rushed toward the end while cleaning up, despite actively packing up and ensuring the space was left neat. The tone and delivery of those reminders added unnecessary stress.
Once I requested to speak with the manager, everything shifted positively. Aaron, the mgr on duty, was absolutely exceptional. He was kind, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying the moment. He patiently assisted us with reviewing the bill breakdown (while still allowing us to pay on one check), reassured us that we had time, and encouraged us to relax and enjoy the celebration. Aarons(mgr) presence completely turned the experience around. Rich should relax.
The baby shower itself was a success. The saxophonist even played specifically for my sister, which was such a beautiful and memorable touch.
Appetizer : Fried Octopus
Entrees: Peri Peri Chicken for me, He got the steak dish
Moc-tails: Him Lavender, I got the coconut lavender
EVERY THING WAS A TEN
Our drinks were the perfect balance of strong and sweet (dangerously good!), and the appetizers? Listen… they nearly took us out. The portion sizes were generous, but the flavor? Next-level. I had the most flavorful Brussels sprouts of my *entire* life. The crab cakes literally melted in our mouths.
By the time entrées came, we were so happily full that we decided to share the Braised Short Rib Special and it ended up being one of the best decisions of the night. The short rib was tender, rich, and clearly made with love. And I tried yams for the first time and WOW… absolutely delicious.
To top it all off, the live saxophone player set the most romantic, elegant vibe.
Verdure gave luxury, comfort, flavor, and an experience I’ll be thinking about for a long time. 10/10 recommend.
