Mom’s Restaurant Haitian Cuisine has some of the best food I’ve ever had. I got the oxtails with white rice, black beans, banan peze, and pikliz and everything was incredible. The flavor and seasoning were on point and the smell alone had me before the first bite.

I never had pikliz before and it was so good. It paired perfectly with the oxtails and bannann peze and brought everything together.

My boyfriend got the griot with rice and beans and banan peze and it was just as delicious.

Everything was so good we both literally had to slow down…

Edward the owner was amazing. He was kind, welcoming, and he wanted our first time eating there to be a great experience. You can feel his love for bringing good food to people. He kindly let me try the beans for free, which just made the experience that much better.

Anytime I’m in Tampa, this place is a now must for me.

Honestly speaking, this is hands down the best Haitian restaurant I’ve been to and I’m from the Caribbean! Not to add, as a huge food junkie I’ve spent almost my entire life chasing authentic tastes and savory blends. I have always been culturally inclined on world history and I must say, coming here was a whole geographical education session on matters pertaining today’s society. The food was amazing! Atmosphere was very warm and the lessons learnt could never been paid for! Thank God for Ma and Pa! They are the best! Please say hello if you are ever in the Tampa area!

The food is great! This is the first Haitian restaurant I visited in Tampa and I made the right choice! There’s a lot of value in the food because you get a lot food for the money. I had enough to take home. The hospitality is great! The owner was sure to have me sample all the food because he knew it was good. He is very nice and we had a great conversation!

First time trying Haitian food in Tampa! Hands down the freshest I’ve ever had. Service was fast and Edward is the gentleman who served my mother and I! Super nice and welcoming! We will be back for sure! The griot and plantains mixed with the juiciness of the pikliz which I must say is out of this WORLS! super tasty!

We were greeted at the door with such a warm and friendly welcome by the owner. It was our first time eating here and I’m glad we came. Their meal portions are very generous for what you pay for. The Fried Goat was perfectly seasoned, cooked and crispy, while still being moist and tender falling off the bone. The Stewed Chicken was full of rich flavor and juicey. We will definitely be back for more of this Delicious Authentic Haitian Home cooking.

The food and service was one of a kind! From the beginning of our visit, Edward was kind, funny, and very welcoming! The food speaks for itself but he has no problem selling you on its authenticity, freshness, and flavors! We bought stewed turkey, griot, oxtails, rice with beans, and pikilz. Pikilz is like no other with such a powerful seasoned taste. The oxtails give us Jamaicans a run for our money! The griot was perfect and not dry at all. The stewed turkey was so tender and juicy. Everything was amazing and will be back again and again! Thank you Edward and Mom’s Restaurant!!

Absolutely amazing experience! The food here tastes just like home. I ordered the griyo with pikliz and it was perfection — tender, flavorful, and seasoned with so much love. The pikliz had the perfect kick, and everything was fresh and delicious.

The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is kind, and you can truly feel the pride they put into every dish. This is the type of place that warms your heart and your stomach. I’ll definitely be back and recommending it to everyone.

If you want real, authentic Haitian food, this is the spot! ✨

TERRIBLE. I got the red snapper. It was so saltyyyy and acidic we couldn’t eat it. So disappointing spent over $50 and had to throw it away. If you don’t want to be hypertensive off one meal please stay away from this place. I’m not sure how they have positive reviews.

When I tell y’all God is GREAT!
The restaurant was closed and Mr. Edward was kind enough to wait for me and still make my order. This is the first time I EVER been to this restaurant and the hospitality is off the charts!!!

Upon arrival I didn’t even have cash on me and Edward was patient enough to wait for me to run to the ATM. I came back and he made me fresh griot and even threw in some freshly fried plantain for me! This food is so damn good. All the food was fresh and a true experience. Y’all I only had Haitian food in my hometown NY, and he made this experience 20x better. Amazing customer service and amazing food! This won’t be my last time, you’ve definitely earned a loyal customer

PS don’t mind the plantain in the picture y’all I was tearing it up
