Carson’s was awesome! The steak was cooked perfectly, and the kids’ meals came with giant cheeseburgers that were a big hit. Our waitress was super nice and attentive, which made the experience even better. The fried dill pickles and shrimp platter were both delicious. Such a cool place to check out if you’re in Anderson, SC. We’ll definitely be back!

We stopped in on January 30th and was throughly pleased all around. We had chicken nachos and fried mushrooms as appetizers both were outstanding. My wife had a steak and it was cooked to perfection. I had the fried catfish with the rice, onion rings and enjoyed all. The young waitress done and excellent job.

Decided to agree on giving this place a try on 1/17 since Texas Roadhouse was busy and I honestly wished I would’ve waited for Texas Roadhouse. In regards to service, we barely saw our waitress. In regards to food, it was bad. The fried pickles were tiny pieces of overly fried pickles with about twelve random tortilla chips in them. The steak i ordered had no flavor. The sautéed mushrooms were not sautéed- more like heated for five seconds in a microwave. All three people’s food was lukewarm. The only positive thing about the food was it was cooked correctly and barely had any fat. I do not recommend this place at all.

We have dined at Carsons a few times with great results. They must have new manager or something. We ordered the fried pickles, when they arrived at the table, they smelled like fish. I asked a server who told me they were fried in the same oil as the fish. My granddaughters had the chicken strips and wouldn’t eat them, some problem. The manager came to the table and told us everything is fried in the same oil, all restaurants do that. I know that’s not true, maybe they haven’t changed the oil in a while.
He took the pickles and the girls chicken meals and refunded us for those items. I hope he didn’t recycle the items and serve them to somebody else. Also, there is no mention anywhere that the food is all fried in the same oil as the fish. This is bad business for people who have seafood allergies! My daughter does. We also had side salads and they all had 2 little containers of salad dressing.
When the bill came there was a 50 cent extra charge for each extra container that we didn’t even ask for. Very disappointing dining experience!

before i say anything, id like to make it known that i am not a usual complainer, im not a karen, if anything i am a people pleaser and usually don’t speak on things like this. however i have been hesitating to leave this review for months but i have to at this point. i’ve always loved carson’s food and genuinely still do, but for
some reason the service is so unexplainably awful i can’t justify ever going back. i’m a great tipper, even on to go orders, and im very nice to all staff because i used to work in food. i’m even that person that stacks my plates at the end to make it easier. so no reason to be rude to me. however on multiple occasions, the staff has been extremely rude to me. the first time this happened, it was
just me and my friend eating, and the first thing the waitress said was “just so yall know we close in an hour.” it didn’t bother me that much because again, i’ve worked it food so i get it, but still a very odd way to start off the interaction. we ended up just taking our food to go. on multiple occasions after that, i’d get here and there just plain rude hosts and waitresses. they’d also act very aggravated and bothered when i’d come get a togo order. i didn’t understand why i was receiving this treatment especially since this is a restaurant i truly love, but i ultimately decided to stop going. 2 days ago, i decided to go back for the first time in months. me and my husband sat down, and waited 20 minutes. no one came to the table to say hi, take our drink order, nothing. multiple waitresses walked by us and i even tried making eye contact with them, but still nothing. carson’s, as a once loyal customer, please please do better.

My grilled salmon & broccoli was good. My mother had fried catfish and it was good. Everything else was subpar at best. All the baked potatoes were undercooked and cool. Even the replacement they brought my husband was about the same. The steak was not well cooked either & had alot of fat & gristle.

Carson’s never disappoints with it’s great food and more-than-competitive prices! Never have I had something I didn’t like nor have we ever experienced a mistake with them Kendra is THE best waitress in this city. We visit 2-4 times a month, always praying we get this happy, helpful, and always grateful woman. Shout out to the GM for running a great establishment with amazing cooks and staff all around.

Amazing food & service! Great Pulled Pork, onion rings to die for! Steak was melt in your mouth good. Fried mushrooms with the jalapeño ranch dip. Didn’t save enough room for dessert unfortunately. Large portions, great prices. Will definitely go back when back in SC.
