Excellent cheese curds. Everything else was fine as usual. Good service. A bit disappointed when stopping in the last time and not being too hungry. Two of us purchased two drinks, two appetizers and split a sandwich, only to learn there is a $4 extra charge if you split something. If I had been offered an extra plate or something, anything really, I wouldn’t have be disappointed.

Love the atmosphere of the restaurant and the location. It feels like it’s off the beaten path so I think that allows it to be less crowded than a lot of other places. The menu has a lot of colorful and interesting options. I went with the Dilly-o burger platter. It was ok. Burger a little over cooked but still had flavor. Fries a little cool and soft from what seems like sitting. Ranch on the side absolutely fantastic. The census of the table is that all the burger paddies were over cooked. But none of it was intolerable. Our server was not very personable. Then became a little rude at the end while waiting on our bill and then when paying. I think trying a different location would best represent the company. The food needs to be upgraded and the service at this location.

Our family went today for lunch while passing by for the first time and it was AMAZING! The service was great, the food was fast and correct. The surf and turn burger with the sweet potato fries were to die for! We all left happy and very full with food to take home. Definitely recommend on your next family day outing.

What a fun place to eat! I loved the atmosphere here! This is a back to here’s your peanuts throw your shells on the floor if you like kinda place. So just be aware.
There was a variety of American style food that was sure to please the family. A huge and unique flavor of hamburgers along with so many other sandwiches choices! Sides such as sweet potato fries, coleslaw, fries along with others.
The prices were very reasonable here as well averaging $10-$20 per adult.
If you have little ones that sit in a high chair they are available and there is a kids menu. The table has a brown paper table cover which is nice for everyone to color on if they so choose. (See a fun place! )
The service…. Well that went very well too very polite, cheerful, helpful and she was on top of anything else we may have needed as well.
Me being me of course, since the cups were able to be taken home, I did that just for fun too.
Oh one final note about this place…. There is a drawbridge just outside that I thought was really cool, but apparently it has a tendency to back up the traffic for about 15 minutes or so.
So the food was really good, the atmosphere was really good and the service was just as good. As an add on a neat sight to check out while you’re there ! ENJOY !

I had a very disappointing experience at this location on February 27, specifically with the manager on duty.
I ordered wings and a chef salad. When the wings arrived, they were clearly undercooked — still red inside and seemingly not fully thawed before being fried. I politely sent them back and simply asked for properly cooked wings. I was not looking for anything for free, just food that was safe to eat.
The manager took the wings with an obvious attitude, did not communicate with me, did not offer to remake them, and never followed up. My waitress — who was very kind and professional — later returned with a receipt that still included the wings and was surprised herself that the manager had not told her what happened.
Before leaving, I asked to speak with the manager. She was aware of the request but avoided me by staying in the back for about 30 minutes.
I want to be clear that this review is not about the waitress, who provided great service. It is specifically about the manager’s lack of professionalism, communication, and basic customer care.
I will likely return to this location, but I am leaving a one-star review to bring this to the attention of ownership, as this type of behavior is not acceptable. Maybe the manager was having a bad day, but her bad day should not turn into me not having dinner and paying for the expensive chef salad and not getting wings.

Fast service, great vibe and decorations inside were awesome. The burgers were the best we have and as well as the fries we will definitely be back. We even got to see the swing bridge that will be on outerbanks swing and let boats through.

We love River City Grill! Wife said their hamburger is probably the best tasting she has ever had. I love their Darlington 500 half pound of fried bologna in Texas toast with grilled onions. Oh boy!

I tried the fish & chips and it was delicious! The fish pieces were individual smaller (chicken tender size) pieces instead of one huge piece and I loved that. The fish was incredibly tender and dissolved in my mouth without even chewing. The cole slaw was great and very ambitious with raisins. Masterchef quality! The fries are a hit or miss, I’ve had what I called the best fries in my life at this location but today they were a bit flabby. It would be nice to hit them up for a minute in the fryer right before serving. The sauces and the slaw looked and tasted great and you could tell they’re house made. The atmosphere is great, the staff is attentive and polite. Highly recommended!
