Homestyle Mexican cuisine & cocktails served in an unpretentious cantina with booth seating,

I was really looking forward to this, but the portion size was very disappointing. The tacos had minimal meat and were mostly shell and lettuce. Flavor was good, but for what you pay, I expected much more.

Came back to El Patron after a couple of years. This was my first visit back then didn’t leave a huge impression. But this time? Solid redemption. I was meeting a friend (his pick), so I figured why not give it another shot. Glad I did.
I ordered the chicken enchilada, and it was genuinely delicious: full of flavor, great texture, and came out hot and fresh. Definitely recommend it if you’re not sure what to get.
Also worth noting: the place is fairly large, so if you’re wrangling a group or planning a family get-together, they’ve got plenty of seating to handle it without feeling cramped.
All in all, a great experience the second time around. Might’ve just earned a spot back in the rotation.

Food and drinks were amazing, my parents got margs and loved them and wolved down their large serving of pollo loco between the two of them (with some left over). Restrooms were nice with the stalls having privacy and some artwork to give a good vibe! If you’re down here and looking for a Mexican restaurant, this place is your No. 1!

El Patron Mexican Grill is an absolute gem! The Tacos Del Ray are packed with flavor and cooked perfectly •definitely my new favorite. I also tried the horchata, and it was refreshing and delicious.
What made the experience even better was the service • Sergio, our server, was attentive and friendly, and the manager went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The hospitality here is top-notch.
Overall, I’d give this place a solid 10/10. If you’re looking for authentic, tasty food with excellent service, El Patron Mexican Grill is the spot to go!

I’m going to tell you about my experience at El Patrón! I went to celebrate a family member’s birthday yesterday in Opelaika. I ordered a pina colada. It’s striking… the photo had cream and a cherry on top and they brought me no cream and no cherry, the piña colada flavor, not even 70% seemed like milk blended with ice and (zero flavor) to eat I ordered carne asada? totally horrible I only tasted it. The rice was brown and overcooked and kept??? The beans were like puree, the meat was a little burnt, no flavor whatsoever, totally bland? I mean, my experience was bad. I speak for myself. I give this restaurant a zero, it has nothing Mexican. It’s just a facade because it only has good aesthetics. So there are better restaurants and one of those is CHIDO in MGM. It’s not worth it.
I forgot, the meat arrived medium hot and the rice and beans were cold.

No long wait, server was great, food was delicious! The Nachos are a must try & they have $5 On the Rocks Margarita specials! The restaurant has a pleasant environment. The manager came over to check on us (which is a plus) to make sure everything was going well. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean!
OVERALL: 10/10- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Me and the wife happened to pop in this Sunday and heard the live music and LOVED IT! It was some male and female duo that was just awesome. Apparently they are there every Sunday so we will be back!

It was our first time eating there. I noticed we weren’t greeted when we entered. So kinda just stood there waiting. Then they took us directly to a booth in the bar, and I thought they should’ve at least asked if that’d be ok. I had my 9 yr. Old with me. Then the booth was so tall, I felt like I needed a booster seat!! Our server was awesome, the food was amazing. But the bathroom was rediculous. The drinks were overpriced because after one huge one, you should at least feel it. But our server made up for all the negative stuff. He was great!

I had to get this restaurant a shoe store because they’re five dollar margaritas. I understand that that’s for the cheapest tequila available but all I did was upgrade to a better tequila. I had two margaritas that cost me $40.70. $20?????? I highly do not recommend this place, especially if you’re coming for a good drink.
