Great place in town. We had no wait to get in but all other tables were full. Other came in behind us and they waited for about 10 minutes.
The food was flavorful but not everyone’s food was as great.
The vodka sauce was awesome.

I cannot believe we have lived in Henry County for 23vyears, and have never eaten here before. It was great experience. I had the shrimp and scallops with angel hair pasta and my husband had the pecan crusted chicken. Our food was delicious, and the bread is addictive. Our server was very nice and checked on us several times. They open at 4:30 on Saturdays, so if you want to dine there, get there right after they open. It fills up fast. Thank you Pasta Max for a great experience. We will definitely dine there again.

REVIEWED ON 5/9/2025- Pictures of the menu are included as well as the angel hair with chicken florentine I ordered on the day I visited the restaurant.

All 3 stars go to the young man who attended me when I was ordering take out. He deserves 5 stars, actually. He offered me great service.
I ordered angel hair with chicken florentine for lunch, and it honestly lacked flavor in my humble opinion. I had to come home and revamp my order because it left me yearning for flavor. Even a little more salt would’ve even helped the dish. The grilled chicken strips reminded me of the ones you buy frozen from the grocery store. On the flip side, the veggie soup that came with it was good, and the veggies on the entree were fresh. I paid about $16, including taxes. I did give the server a tip even if I didn’t dine in. I want to give them another try and order a different dish next time.

Pasta Max in McDonough, Ga in my opinion is one of the best Italian restaurants in Henry County and the surrounding counties as well. Their food quality is very high and consistently good.

I love their angel hair pasta and chicken, the portions are usually larger than average. The rolls are to die for and the caesar salad is great. The window tables are my wife’s favorite, if you want to sit there you better arrive early because they’re the first to go.

We love Pasta Max, we’re sure you will too!

Enjoy!

First time here Great experience The bread that they send out for free yeah that needs to be done fresh daily for the type of food they offer. The dish with the scallops to me it needs to be more of a thick sauce base not a loose soup base dish It was a real good though. Will I come back? ️heck yeah!!!

Super cute and quaint, Italian Pasta. The pasta is homemade and the service is great. It’s not a large place so if you’re in a hurry for lunch, come early. Parking is not easy to find but there seems to be a small lot to the left of the restaurant as you come full circle around the square. You can park in the square or just Uber. Located next to Queen Bee coffee house.

We were greeted by yummy garlic and butter roles. I had chicken fettuccine Alfredo and the crème brûlée and my friend has the fresh mozzarella salad and calamari. Calamari was a little overcooked but edible and she had the spumoni for dessert.

Overall, it’s a great lunch spot. You can get a yummy fresh and hot meal and dessert for about $30. Price point is good.

Look forward to going back.

My husband and I went for my birthday and the food NEVER fails. From the freshness of the salad, flavorful soup. I got the salmon with couscous and it was delicious. This is one my favorite restaurants in all of Henry County. I will say that they switched up on the dinner garlic rolls. I like the original flavor better.

The food was ok. The salad was large and tasty with generous ingredients. The bread with oil and parmasan cheese was blah. Nothing exciting. I ordered the salmon with risotto, and that was disappointing. The size of the salmon was great, but the flavor was lacking. The risotto was not cooked like any risotto I’ve had. It was more like rice in juice. The smell was not appetizing either. I didn’t finish my meal. The atmosphere got 3 stars due to the uncomfortable hard chairs and overall well used look. The service was great. Our server was quick and checked in for refills.

I got the bow tie pasta but subbed fettuccine. It taste ok but I wish the sauce wasn’t broken. Very oily and way more veggies than pasta. Idk. I wanted to like it but it’s a greasy mess. And the chicken is dry and was cut very thick. I peeked in the kitchen and seen them adding Alfredo sauce to a warmer. It doesn’t take long at all to reduce a cream sauce to order. Holding Alfredo on heat is kind of crazy. I had more hope for the rolls too. They were dry on the inside but doused in garlic butter. Caesar dressing is also gross. Croutons stale. I want this place to reevaluate and make some changes. It’s a great location, cute atmosphere but the food is….not good. Friendly fast service though.

One of the better restaurants in McDonough & I’d actually say it’s the best restaurant on the square. Our food was crazy good and flavorful, especially the steamed mussels me and my boyfriend ordered which we dipped the bread in. Had a great server as well. 12/10 spot. If you’re in the area looking for dinner definitely check this place out.
