Recently, I have been to the Wendy’s at 78th in Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, KS wyandotte county. I’ve gone to the drive-through both times. I want to thank Wendy’s for hiring Rebecca and Miss Pat❤️❤️ They both are so sweet and kind they made my experience special. With today’s world it’s so great to see such kindness. Thank you Wendy’s for hiring great people. And also today, Friday, December 5, 2025 your chili was absolutely outstanding.

June 20th 9:25pm. Figure out who was working cashier – drive through…. Worst service I’ve ever received. Extremely rude for no reason. I ordered a simple number 6…. Was polite… said “hello how are you” and was ignored…. I asked for a receipt after my transaction was made and got the worst attitude for no reason… she basically hated the fact that I asked for a receipt… God forbid I wanted one. I never leave reviews like this but you as a manager of this restaurant/region really need to get your act together.. the hiring market isn’t that rough to hire this type of help….

I never stop for fast food…. Not my gig but figured I’d be lazy today and try this Wendy’s out as I was driving by. Big mistake. Horrible service and food was far from good.

This wendy’s is an odd ball. ALWAYS ask for a receipt even though most of the time they never give one unless you ask. They have audacity to be rude about it though. If they accuse you of not paying tell them to check their cameras or don’t leave until they give you your already PAID for meal. My mother pull up to the curb after PAYING for her meal as directed by the drive thru cashier. She forgot to tell them that she would like some ranch. She went up walking up to the window to let them know. Now I know she could just waited until they gave her meal to ask for the ranch. However, my mother wanted to prevent the worker from walking in and out of the store again since there was a long line of cars waiting already. Drive thru cashier rudely told her if she wanted to order she needed to go inside. Again, my mother ALREADY ordered she just wanted to let them know to put ranch in her already paid for meal. When the cashier went to give her meal my mother asked for the ranch. But the cashier rushed to give her the meal saying she didn’t pay for it. My mother explained she did. Cashier asked for her receipt, my mother didn’t have one because the cashier never gave her one. The cashier definitely did this on purpose due to their encounter. My poor mother left without a meal after not eating all day. We have been going through so much lately that my mother has no effort in not letting people treat her this way. This why i’m writing a review in her place. I will be coming with her here from now on to make sure that cashier doesn’t try messing with her again. What an embarrassment of an employee your just making your job harder on yourself. Karma is real.

It was a young girl with glasses that was working around 1pm on Sep 18th. There is no need to act like this when it comes to fast food lol.

I get it, I should have no real thoughts of receiving any level of hospitality when going to a fast food chain but the basics of service is another story.

I almost never write 1 star reviews because it usually means there is a systematic breakdown in how things are supposed to go. This location though has no standards. If I go during the day I have a good shot at receiving what I ordered and it will be more than warm but never hot. Dinner….. I might as well just light my money on fire and enjoy the pretty flame because that would be more fun than walking in past 6 pm.

The food quality while not only poor was combined with a lack of basic food hygiene standards. The sandwich was thrown together and made incorrectly, the fries were soggy and cold, and the nuggets were hard as day old dinner rolls. The only thing that was correct was the drink I poured myself.

It’s a brand new building and looks great from the outside, I just would hope that the food, service, and hospitality would match or at least come a little close.

My bacon cheeseburger was definitely smaller than I anticipated for something being called a Biggie Bag. The sandwich was cold and the fries were only warm we also ordered two different sauces for our nuggets and only received one I was very disappointed in this trip

So we stopped by our local Wendys to grab a $1 drink & sandwich for Lee on our walk home.. they were out of diet EVERYTHING in the lobby pop machine. Which is normal for them.
Me: Do you have diet drinks for drive through?
Her: Yes, but they aren’t $1. Me: There’s the sign
Her: Yeah, we just haven’t taken it down, but they are not $1.
Me: ok, just give me 2 waters… took glasses to the lobby machine, got water, it was full of ANTS! I took my cups up and said excuse me
Guy: just a minute, we are business(they had 2 people in drive through, no one in store)
Me: I have ants in my water! (Why I would think that is more important than the 2 orders ‍♀️ ‍♀️)
Guy: ok, but we’re busy. Finally came over. I said could I have 2 new glasses(thought that would be a given but decided to tell him incase). I couldn’t see is hands but he kept looking at me. I didn’t see him dump it, but I thought, no way. He put a lid on them. I could see something floating so I toke the lids off, YEP STILL HAD ANTS.
Me: Never mind, I don’t want them…
Lady: OMG!

OMG was for the ants or me for complaining. WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. Called corporate and think I will call health dept.
Positive: sure glad i didnt get coke, I might not have see the ants.
