We arrived at 1245 on a Saturday, it wasn’t busy. We asked for patio seating as we had our dog. Our order was taken quickly, the food (chicken mole enchiladas and combo plate). came out quickly and it was hot and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Super yum!

I think if they hadn’t been so busy it would have been fine. There was only one server and we all got our food at different times, and things were forgotten about and no drink refills were offered. Our tortillas for the fajitas came out after the food had cooled and everyone else was done eating. I ordered the taco salad and I think there was more lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese on the kids taco plates. Our server was really nice and we liked him, but he was over worked!

Fun little place to eat. Waiter was nice. The food was okay. The guacamole looked soooo good but was sooooo spicy! We had a couple of bites and had to stop. The enchiladas weren’t as flavorful as I was hoping. But it was still a fun experience for our kids to eat out.

Passing through town on a motorcycle trip. This place is the real deal. Excellent service, fair prices, and delicious food. I’m a salsa snob and their salsa is a top 3 ever for me. Highly recommend and will absolutely be back when I am in town.

Loved it! We were immediately seated and our server was the most friendliest and sweetest man ever! He made us laugh so many times and it was such a welcoming and comfortable vibe here.
We had margaritas and I would highly recommend the Cortez. Delicious! We also received complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were still warm and the house salsa was amazing! Everything we ordered was wonderful and we tried the desserts as well. The Churros with ice cream was my favorite and I would pass on the flan.
Make sure this is one of your stops! Your belly will thank you!

After hiking in Sand Canyon I stopped in at La Casita and I’m glad I did. Great food, friendly people and worth the stop. I think this will become a post Sand Canyon tradition.

They bring chips and salsa as you are seated. We tried house guacamole, steak fajitas and fish tacos. Everything was so good. Fish tacos were grilled and served on hot tortillas. Steak on fajitas was greatly seasoned. Highly recommended.

We’re staying in Cortez and decided to try La Casita – Wow!!! So good and the service is wonderful. Food was fresh, portions are huge and so much flavor. Loved their salsa refried beans and chips they served free at seating. My hubby got the shredded chicken tacos and shrimp cocktail. I got a veggie burrito, yum. Their house margarita was delicious too!! Definitely worth the visit, we’ll go back!
