Vivo was not as good as I was expecting however our waiter was wonderful. I ordered Cameron’s choice with a Tinga Chalupa and a chipotle enchilada. The chicken in both items were a bit dry however seasoned well. Overall my food was decent but the other dishes at the table were lacking. The best thing that I ate were the chips and salsa which probably were the best I’ve had in a restaurant!

Enchiladas were great and so were the beans! The rice was under cooked and crunchy. The queso here was fantastic paired with the light chips I would definitely come back for it.
Service was good and quick!

Great service and great atmosphere! The food was interesting, tried the shrimp salad and puffy tacos.
The tacos were pretty greasy, but the fajita beef was tasty. The shrimp taco was OK, shrimp tasted a little off.
The limeade was tasty if you like the pucker factor.
Will try some other foods to get a more robust experience. Waiter Jory was awesome!

The food and presentation of it felt like a high school cafeteria. I sent back the first dish because it was not as described and the second, fish tacos, was delivered in aluminum foil and wax paper, as if at a taco stand. Huh? The place was packed on a Friday night, so I guess others feel differently, perhaps because, the prices are very reasonable. The server and other staff were very sweet.

Really great Tex-Mex! The puffy tacos are one of their unique offerings!
The patio is wonderful on a cool night, but might be a little toasty on a summer night.
Chips and salsa are top notch!

Fresh Mexican food. Atmosphere is dark and happy hour is loud. Popular for teachers and celebrating. I don’t drink, but apparently the margaritas are good!
Patio is lovely on a nice day. I have had both great service and ehh. Love the food.

One of my favorite eats in Aus-Angeles; I’ve been eating at Vivo’s through numerous iterations. FIVE stars for in-store service. All excellent. NO STARS, indeed, negatives stars, for using ChowNow and EZCater, both of whom use whatever drivers they can exploit (whomever is the lowest compensated). ChowNow’s policy is that if food arrives up to an hour after it is made, they will not refund. Three times in a row I’ve had issues: first time, misdelivered. Second and third times, food arrived bone cold. The last time I called and spoke to the manager, who reported the food sat on the to-go shelf for almost an hour. ChowNow would not refund (FWIW, the driver worked for UberEats, whom I encourage folks not to use either, unless cold food doesn’t bother you). I am sorry Vivo is losing my.business for all delivery, the don’t deserve that, but until they pick a more reliable and responsive delivery service (e.g., DoorDash, who does refund late food) I’d encourage everyone reading this to just go to the physical place. Delivery from here is consistently (for me) a disaster.

Hand down the BEST salsa and TexMex I have ever had in my life. After moving away from Austin a few years ago, I still come back just to get VIVO salsa by the quart. Do yourself a favor and eat here. You will thank me.

My favorite place to get a drink in Austin. Every cocktail is expertly made with fresh juices in house. The food is great and every single server, hostess, busser, etc are the sweetest, kindest people. Fantastic service and the salsa for their chips is my favorite in town.

Pretty impressed with this place. Only draw back is it is pretty dark atmosphere inside. The waiter (Oscar) was super helpful and attentive. The chips and salsa are on point. The cocktails ( we had more than pictured ) were tasty. My fajita tacos were delicious and my wife loved her street tacos. This is a hidden gem that should be visited if you are in the area.
