The Good:
The restaurant’s interior is stunning—modern, clean, and very inviting. The steaks (22oz T-Bone for $47 and 13oz NY Strip for $39) had amazing flavor and were cooked to a perfect technical temperature.
The Bad:
• The “Garage” Seating: Despite calling all day with no answer, we arrived early and were relegated to the enclosed patio. It’s chilly, lacks the indoor ambiance, and feels like a decorated garage. If you’re charging fine-dining prices, you shouldn’t seat guests in a drafty enclosed patio.
• The Service: We were charged $16 for a lemonade but weren’t even given a second set of glasses. We had to chug our waters just to have a vessel for our drink.
• Quality Control: A full third of my $39 steak was pure, inedible fat. Furthermore, the $4 side of rice was undercooked and crunchy—completely inedible (see photo).
The Verdict:
For nearly $50 an entrée, the side portions are tiny and the service is bottom-tier. It is a fundamental disconnect to charge “Gold Coast” prices while providing a “budget” patio experience with basic kitchen errors. We gave it a second shot, but we won’t be back for a third!
The best part of the night was the food – we got a margarita pizza, a gnocchi, and the DUA burger. All of them were super tasty (we shared all the dishes), and had fantastic flavor. The burger was and gnocchi were particularly good. The atmosphere was great too – it felt borderline fine dining in terms of the ambiance and decor, but the experience as a whole was more of just a nicer, upscale restaurant. It’s also super close to the airport which is nice if you’re not from Chicago and want a nicer place to dine right before or after you arrive at O’Hare.
The service was just as impressive. Elnura, who attended to our table, was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. Her warm and professional attitude added so much to the overall dining experience.
Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic flavors, great atmosphere, and exceptional service. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Feedback for owner: It is no longer a pandemic. The 15% charge (on top of tip) is no longer customary and needs to go! If your employees need to be paid to market, pay them – but please do not pass this additional cost on to your customers, especially when you’re charging $25 for a plate of spaghetti. 🙂
