Reviews
The pulled pork sandwich showcased rich, smoky flavor and tender meat, with a variety of sauces that allowed for a personal touch. The only drawback was the bun, which became soggy not long after serving despite being toasted. Still, the overall flavor and portion size made the dish memorable.
Service was courteous but limited, as our waiter was only present to take the order, deliver the meal, and provide the check. More attentiveness would have enhanced the experience.
Pricing was surprisingly reasonable, with a full meal for two totaling around 29 dollars. Considering the quality of the food and the atmosphere, Southern Craft BBQ offers excellent value.

I also enjoyed the sides
You Definitely won’t be disappointed at this location.
… We visited back in September and the service was non-existent. We were seated outside by the hostess and after waiting for a server for approximately half an hour I had to go back inside to request service. Apologies were made and the rest of our lunch was great!
We went back today with family from out of town. The restaurant seemed to have a lot of empty tables. We were seated outside again at our request. There was only one other occupied table outside. There were two or three tables that had not been cleaned up after the patrons had left. We sat for half an hour with zero service. A waitress walked by us to talk to the other table but ignored us completely. No water, no promise to be with us in a minute.
My wife and I both worked our way through college waiting tables. We get it when things are busy and we also know that a simple welcome comment and promise to return shortly can go a long ways. From what we could see, there were not a bunch of tables backed up. There was no sense of urgency and the general appearance of unbussed tables was unfortunate.
After the wait and no service, we left
Not sure what happened but we are bummed that our favorite spot isn’t that anymore. We will need a new spot to wow our visiting family.
I wanted to sample a variety of their meats, and upon her recommendation, I ordered the three-meat platter which included wings, sausage, and brisket, accompanied by three sides: cole slaw, tomato & cucumber salad, and baked beans. The wings were outstanding—perfectly smoked and lightly fried for a crisp finish, with a flavorful rub. The spicy wing sauce, which I believe had a hint of apple, added a delightful sweetness that balanced the heat. The brisket had a wonderful bark and was both flavorful and moist. Although I am not fond of smokehouses that serve “hot dog” style sausages, I found the sausage here to be quite tasty.
The sides were equally impressive. The salad was packed with fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, and just the right amount of onion. The baked beans were exceptional, especially when enhanced with their Fire Water hot BBQ sauce. The cole slaw was also delicious, fitting perfectly with the BBQ theme.
Additionally, I enjoyed sampling their various sauces, including the Carolina vinegar style, which I usually don’t favor but found quite appealing here.
Overall, it was an excellent meal, and I would definitely return.
*The Food:*
– I devoured the banana pudding French toast – it was love at first bite! ️ The real banana slices, banana pudding, and nilla wafer crumbs were a match made in heaven.
– My husband’s hog and home fries were a highlight, with candied bacon, regular bacon, and smoked pork belly. The fire apple aioli on the side added a nice kick!
– The house-baked blackberry muffin was a showstopper – massive, moist, and topped with cream, honey butter, and blackberry jam. We all fought over the last bites!
*The Service:*
– Our server was top-notch – attentive, friendly, and made sure our drinks were always full.
*The Verdict:*
We’ll definitely be back for more of Southern Craft’s delicious breakfast dishes! If you’re a fan of creative, mouth-watering food and great service, add this spot to your list. Can’t wait to come back!
