The pescado en mole habernero was delicious. The flavors were great and the portion was satisfactory. I would highly recommend their happy hour as well.

Seriously tasty and packed with flavor! They had so many mole flavors to try and I can’t wait to go back and try them all! I had the mole verde over a shrimp enchilada and it was absolutely delicious. I also tried their chips and guac, which was solid. Their tortilla chips are delicious and crisp and flavorful. Service was super friendly and prices were just right. This will definitely become a neighborhood staple for me.

Really good weekend lunch buffet at a great price of $25. 8 kinds of mole, birria, carnitas, rice, beans, fresh tortilla (ask for it), pozole, menudo, salad, fruits, chips, salsa, coffee, tea, etc. Food is all pretty good, authentic, not salty, but meats are quite oily and fatty. My only minor complaints are that the chicken in all the moles tasted like frozen chicken except for the mole verde, and the custard-like dessert had mold on it which means it’s not made fresh daily, but neither will prevent me from coming back. 15 minute wait for a party of 2 at lunch time on a Saturday. Service was decent. The buffet is great value, but you can also order off the regular menu as well. Only 1 bathroom for each gender. Mostly indoor seating, but there’s a few tables outside as well. Street parking was easy and free on weekends

Vegetarian enchiladas and tacos are not impossible to make, but they are difficult to get right. They just killed it( in a good way). I was with my Dad and he is in a wheelchair. . I think we waited for 5 minutes max. The service was great and there was enough staff To Insure Proper Service….we will be checking out the Sundae Brunch Buffet today. Did I mention the all you can eat Taco Tuesday for $20? It rocks my people, hella rocks!

Los Moles in Emeryville is easily one of the best dining experiences in the Bay Area. I have been coming here for years, and every visit reminds me why I love it. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff is consistently friendly and attentive, and the food and drinks are second to none.

The regular menu is outstanding, with tender meats, handmade tortillas, and traditional dishes that always impress. The moles are the heart of the restaurant, each one rich, layered, and unique. Mole poblano balances spice and sweetness, mole negro is smoky and deep, and mole verde is fresh and vibrant. Every bite carries history and tradition, and you can taste the care in every recipe.

The weekend buffet is a highlight, offering a chance to sample multiple moles side by side along with pozole, menudo, meats, salads, rice, beans, and desserts. It feels more like a celebration of Mexican cuisine than just a meal. Add in café de olla at the end and it is an experience worth savoring.

The drinks are strong and flavorful, from crisp margaritas to creative mezcal and tequila cocktails that pair perfectly with the food. Combined with the welcoming atmosphere and excellent service, Los Moles delivers every time.

This is more than a restaurant, it is a celebration of Mexican culture, flavor, and community. Los Moles never disappoints, and it remains one of my favorite places to eat in the Bay Area.

This was a surprising find and one of the best mexican food we have had in the bay area. We got the quessadillas and enchilada with mole sauce that were amazing. Their salsas and guac were amazing too. Will definitely return and highly recommend. Ther service was wonderful as well.

Went here on Saturday morning to check out the buffet with some co-workers to celebrate their Birthdays. We did not regret it either. They had so many different types on mole, the poblano was my favorite. They also had birria, carnitas, pozole, and menudo. The food was delicious, and the cherry cider was so good, as well as the mango mimosa. The customer service was top tier, wbich made the experience unforgetable. Thank you!

I’m a mole Junkie and I love this song: La cumbia del mole by Lila Downs. Here is a rough translation.

…I like to try the mole that Soledad is goin’ to grind
O my darlin’ Soledad, she’s gonna cook a molito
By the skies of my Monte Alban, at night I’m dreaming to see you
You first need to get the peanuts, you get the salt and the bread
You grind and you fry the chilies, you try the chocolate
Get cinnamon and banana, get cloves and oregano
Get thyme and the blackest pepper
You grind it in México, óye, grind it
Grind it…

I’ve been wanting to try this place for years. I ride my bicycle through this neighborhood regularly.

(But keep in mind they have Taco’s Tuesdays from all you can eat from 4pm to 9:00pm!)

I ordered three soft tacos, handmade corn tortillas with chorizo, cilantro, onions, refried beans, red rice, queso fresco, chiles toreados, salsa de la casa. The chorizo was super flavorful. I think this plate is worth ordering again. It’s a lot of food so come hungry.

So what about the Mole? They offer well over 10 Moles for Lunch and Dinner. For lunch one can choose a Mole that is paired with two enchiladas w/ your choice of seafood, organic shredded chicken, shredded beef, vegetables or cheese, choice of mole sauce, arroz verde, queso fresco, refried beans & sour cream.

Next time, I’ll come back and try a Lunch or Dinner with one of their Moles.

A super nice shout out to the lady that served me. She was gracious to give me a taste of the Mole Poblano from their family recipe made w/ seven different types of chile peppers, cinnamon & chocolate. Over 50 ingredients Excellent!
