Met some friends at the Apple Tree Family Restaurant as it was a good midpoint location. Great food and service. All four us had wonderful meals and the multiple vegetarian food options were definitely appreciated for one of party. Will definitely make a point of stopping in again whenever we are in the area.

Welcomed and told to sit wherever I would like. Great service and my gyro omelet and crispy american fries were absolutely delicious! Great place to stop for brunch/lunch. Will definitely visit again!

Best breakfast in all of Columbus WI. I love a weekend breakfast out and this has been my favorite bof all the places I’ve tried as a newbie to the area. The staff is very friendly with customers and you can tell they get along well. They have sweet treats for sale by the counter and options for breakfast and lunch that will suffice any local.

Lots of variety in the menu. Fried foods were crispy, melts were toasty, salads were crisp. Only 1 waitress running around. She was very attentive and checked in a few times. Pictured: Philadelphia melt, dinner salad, combo platter

One of the friendliest little Diners I’ve ever been to. Fantastic food, great service, the owner is always there and is also super friendly. I haven’t had anything disappointing. Took my coworker and he loved it as much as I do. All their soups are amazing. I think my favorite is the crispy chicken wrap with their homemade ranch dressing.
I highly recommend this restaurant!!

I had some problems with the restaurant when I entered. I mentioned to the waiter that I was vegetarian and decided to get a cheese ravioli. The waiter failed to mention that the sauce had bits of meat in it. I am not a strict vegetarian and decided to eat it rather than have it go to waste. (I feel slightly unwell and I think it is because I haven’t had meat for a while). The ravioli came with a ‘salad.’ The salad was a small plate of lettuce with a single slice of cucumber, a single cherry tomato and some sauce (I picked a blue cheese sauce). It was one of the saddest looking salad I have ever had. The Cheese ravioli tasted sweet and lacked salt. For $15 the ravioli could have been better. I went ~2 pm thinking it would be a slow time just to have the waiter take a while to come to my table.

I recently did a pick up order from Apple Tree Family Restaurant. Let me say I’m new to the area and this gem of a restaurant was well hidden in the friendly community of Columbus. There’s a variety of food to choose from and believe me I’m kicking myself for not having the fish fry. My family and I ordered the chicken strips with fries, the chicken dinner, baked potato, salad and an appetizer of mozzarella sticks. My ONLY complaint was that I didn’t get napkins because everything was so finger licking delicious!
The prices were extremely affordable and I will definitely be back where I can sit down inside and enjoy my meal.
Thank you very much, you’ve impressed me.

We were disappointed. We didn’t mind having the soup and coffee spilled, but were not offered more. When my friend asked for more soup she was given exactly 1/2 cup – the amount probably spilled. I had to ask for a new roll since it was also sitting in spilled soup. My friend was not given a clean plate and fresh bowl. Afterwards I tried to buy a poo emoji cupcake. The Styrofoam container was not tall enough to avoid smashing the face off the top. No matter how much I tried to politely persuade the girl to just not put the top down on it, she insisted that they ALL did that and slammed the lid down. I opened it to find a smashed cake. Part of it and an eye stuck to the lid. They tried to force me to pay for the cake that they themselves smashed. They would not give me a whole one to carry out with the lid open. They were so insistant that I take the smashed cake that they went to the back to tell the manager on me. I was made to feel like a heel for refusing to buy a cake I did not smash. We paid our bill and even left a generous tip but couldn’t get over the unreasonableness of the whole situation.
