I’ve been here a few times in the past with good experience. Today was lousy! I understand it’s not a fast food restaurant but it took 35 minutes to get our order. I noticed that people who had been in front of/behind us in the order line received their food way before us. We ordered a couple sandwiches, a burger and Cajun fries which should not take 35 minutes. Also, I’m not sure what was Cajun about the fries but all I could taste was a TON of salt. Bleh! Not an ideal experience especially since I get only an hour for lunch! Save your time and get a better meal down the road at Nick’s Deli! Will never go back!

My wife waited months to have her first sandwich (pregnant), orders a Club sandwich from Mimi’s and gets this mess. Pretty much a lettuce and mayonnaise sandwich. I did find a piece of turkey after some digging. Last time ordering form here tho!

When I first pulled up, I will admit, I said to myself “oh boy here we go again “ but I’ve learned moving here that it’s best to not judge the outside. So I took a chance.
Inside is very clean and almost cantina looking, nothing you are going to go wow over in terms of looks.
People were very nice and explained the menu to me. I honestly wasn’t going to get a Ruben but the front desk girl talked me into it and I’m glad she did because it was YUMMY. If you like a ruben? Highly recommended to try it. The Cajun spiced hand cut fries were just an added bonus. They also have some sort of delicious cream soda too.

The food here is always impeccable. I always order the cheese steak sandwich with tater tots. They are so good that I continue to order the same thing every time. I’m sure the rest of their food is good but this is my favorite sandwich to order when looking for a good lunch. The staff is always so friendly. They have strange hours but they are well worth going to to eat.

Mimi’s Deli breakfast (Wednesday through Saturday) hands DOWN best breakfast in Hixson. Skip the drive thru and grab a WHOLE hearty meal for less money. The quality is outstanding. My meal was $6.99 and I added a drink and side of breakfast potatoes- total still came to less than $15. Give this little Hixson staple a try for lunch too. Staff is always friendly and professional and they work so hard running the door and bussing tables through the breakfast rush. 10/10
