That said, the service could be better. The server assigned to us made us feel rushed and there were multiple instances where questions from my friends were met with responses that were dismissive rather than helpful. Her responses were more like a “you deal with it” instead of good service and this stood out in an otherwise nice dining experience.
We liked the food and the atmosphere but the service from that particular server took a bit away from the overall experience
My bone marrow arrived a little late because I was told the first serving was burnt; the replacement was alright.
My ribeye was undercooked. I never sent back a plate before and I felt so bad, but they cooked it again and it was alright.
There was one dish I believed to be from the pasta section, but it turned out not to include pasta. I may have been mistaken, and that’s on me, but the dish itself wasn’t very good. The waiter offered pasta, which helped.
Maybe they had a bad night but that was not worth the price at all.
The waiter definitely carried that night; I appreciate it.
I like Trummer’s. It’s a beautiful restaurant with nice tall ceilings and lots of natural light. The food on the other hand is a mostly subpar. Inconsistencies with what is listed on the menu and what you receive.
Avocado Toast: Average. Also it was served with salmon instead of the white fish that was listed on the menu.
Smash Burger: Fine, nothing special. Served with no veggies inside, literally just meat cheese and some caramelized onions. Where’s the crunchy lettuce and fresh tomato?
Wienerschnitzel from Pork: Way too salty. The gravy had an odd smoky taste. The roisserie potatoes were good.
Trummer’s Breakfast: Not worth $22 for what you get. Over salted. Sausage is listed on the menu but received no sausage. Restaurant does not have egg whites.
*Note to Owners* Bring back the Jerusalem artichoke soup it was the best thing on the menu.
Outstanding atmosphere and delectable food.
