First time coming, great decor and scenery throughout the restaurant. Waitress Amber was great, continued to check on us and positive energy thru it service. Hibachi chef was great with presentations. Food was good, shrimp, noodles and rice had great flavor and texture. Steak was a tough chew but still good to eat.

First timer here and definitely a great Birthday dinner. Our chef went above and beyond ! The food was so very tasted and cooked to pure perfection! Thanks guys for a great night!

Update the service was great but we were very disappointed on the food. Not much flavor on anything taste watered down and chicken was very crispy/burnt on some. we did not sit at habichi but ordered it from table. Please get it together this is my favorite place.

The salmon avocado roll is so simple yet so delicious. I also really enjoy the spicy tuna roll. Both of these rolls are available on their lunch specials!

Food was spot on. Our waitress was fairly slow and would forget to bring items requested. The Hibachi show was good but honestly we couldn’t hear a word anyone asked us. They’re a bit pricey for the food served. Their days and hours open sucks.

Okay, so we went to the Hibachi Grill but we opted to sit at a table and not the hibachi. I believe strongly that in doing that we missed out on good quality food. Our Dragon Roll was definitely not as good as usual which, I know comes from the kitchen regardless. Our steak, chicken, shrimp, and scallops we’re just not the best. They were actually the worst we have ever gotten from anywhere. I’m not sure why food quality is drastically different when you sit at a table instead of the grill. But in talking with others, they have had the same experience. This restaurant is quite pricey so if you go please be sat at the grill. The overall atmosphere was great and the service was good but the food…. we left a lot of it on the table and didn’t even take it to go. And the lesson here, I will say it again, eat at the grill.

8 years later, new location, same disappointment.

Few notes, I only had sushi, service as a whole wasn’t bad and very clean. I truly put off re-trying this again because the last trip was so dismal. +1 star however for least being a neat place.

So, the sushi. Got an alligator roll, Louisiana roll and sweet “poe” roll.

The sushi rolls were prepared well and skill is evident here but I don’t feel they taste their own creations. Special Roll sizes are either fair or too small.

Louisiana Roll had fried catfish on top…. yep. Reality was panko fried thin swai. Everything was entirely too sweet, the batter, rice, shrimp, crab mix. Really not a good bite.

Alligator roll, tiny pieces of fish, huge chunk of avocado and yet again, sweet and no distinct flavor profile.

Sweet “poe” roll had cheap cream cheese and yep, sweet batter.

Service was attentive but felt super rushed. I had my check moments after the blistering fastly prepared sushi hit my table.

Now for the ambiance. If you want spice girls blaring meanwhile the hibachi chefs (on other end of restaurant) repeat the same minute long drum solo with their spatulas, this place is for you!

Rant aside, this place just needs direction, and perhaps some competition (cuz tokyo ain’t it). Being only true option in town and trendier has lured people into thinking they are better than they are. Taste test your sushi, its pretty but taste don’t match the looks. Also, soundproof hibachi some, no one wants to be on a date and hear travis barker on the grill.

Such a huge improvement over old RJ Gators building! Nice open floor plan is beautiful, but does make for a louder atmosphere than I prefer. We were still able to talk, but it was a strain at times with 5 at a booth. The waitress really knew her stuff!! She knew every nuance of the menu items. The main course not coming out at the same time was not perfect.

Sushi was delicious. My favorite is the snowball. It’s a lot for what the price is. All food is fresh and the correct temperature. Parking lot is absolutely horrible, but they have a new building near Olive Garden that will be much safer and smooth.
