Came here on a business trip. Stopped at another place that had a mile long wait because it was wing night. Luckily, there was no wait here.
We got seated right away. Our waitress, Yashi, was super friendly and helpful.
Had the pot roast, which was very good. It was moist and tender. Didn’t even need a fork.
The salat bar was very basic. Lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and cheese for toppings. Four typical salad dressings. There were also some cold salads like potato and macaronis salad too.
Yashi made the place better.

This is a great place to eat. It feels like home with a casual, family atmosphere. The waitress who served us was extremely kind and polite. Our food was also served very fast. I got a ham and cheese sandwich and fries and it was very good. Their green beans and chicken noodle soup is also very good. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with lots of choices to pick from. Would definitely come back here again!

We tried it while passing through the area. The service was good, the food was average. I had the Gypsy Skillet and my wife the eggs Benedict. Both were okay, the Benedict eggs were a bit had, I the skillet lacked some flavor. The staff was very kind and attentive. Perhaps today was just on off day.

Staff is spectacular, and the food isn’t to die for but it is good. Stopped here based on a Google search and sure, there wasn’t a buffet. But the staff hooks it up. Also met the owner, and he’s one of the sweetest people you’ll have the pleasure of meeting.

The food is pretty good, I love getting breakfast when I come here. The last time I was here though was not such a good experience. The waitress didn’t listen to what I had said and tried to bring me a drink that I did not order which I did not want. I had to flag down a different staff member to remove the item that I didn’t even order after trying to get my waitress’s attention several different times. Once the drink I did not order was removed, I sat there waiting for someone to take my actual drink order which never happened. I’m very autistic, and try not to be confrontational but I genuinely felt like I was being purposefully ignored for complaining. I ended up leaving and sitting in the car waiting for my family to finish eating because it was not a good experience for me.

Was in town for a quick visit and decided to try out something local. Walked in very friendly staff was seated right away. Found out they had a breakfast buffet and said that was an option or we can order off the menu. Said heck yes and she walked us through where everything was. Food was hot good choices to pick from and very tasty. I’d definitely recommend stopping in. Staff was friendly place was clean and inviting and food was good can’t ask for much more.

If you’re looking for family style food and have a healthy appetite this is wonderful place. I ended up taking most of my open face hot beef sandy to go because it was just so much food , I had soup and salad bar, ate half hot beef sandy and had to have apple Carmel cheese cake pie.
I was going to eat rest of hot beef but I was traveling and there was a stray dog outside the hotel I stayed at so he scored it.

Since I know the owners, Muscatine Family Restaurant has been a great staple for my enjoyment. They didn’t hire people just for their money to work here, they hired caring efficient people. I like the food. No matter if it’s a buffet to single serve plates, the cooks really know how to make nice home felt foods. I’m moving to Mt Pleasant soon but rest assured I will be back for more. Hopefully others will try this restaurant.
