The food was incredible—some of the best soul food I’ve had outside of my grandmother’s kitchen. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the meal. Our server wore headphones, never greeted us, never introduced themselves, never smiled, and responded to multiple “thank yous” with a silent nod. It left a disappointing impression. Also, the atmosphere could be improved with some soft background music instead of just the sound from the TV behind the counter.

I woke up this morning craving soul food, new to the area I wasn’t sure where to go and found this place on Google! I loved their kindness, understanding of the menu and attentiveness. Most importantly the food was DELICIOUS I will definitely be returning! Thank you all so much!

I’ve been to Manna several times and every time the food has been great. It’s always hot and tastes freshly cooked same day. I’ve discovered several soul food restaurants that will serve days old food as if no one will notice (or care). The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. Not to mention it always looks clean and sanitary. You might not think that’s a big deal, but I’ve seen some places that look like a jail kitchen and tastes like prison food. Needless to say I trashed the food and never returned.
If I could give one critique to Manna it would be to lower the price of their desserts. Although they are good, imo a slice of cake or pie shouldn’t be more than a side order. But then again, if people are consistently paying it…as a business owner I can understand not fixing what isn’t broken.

Sooooo… I had been craving some home cooked soul food after church, but I didn’t feel like cooking.. I got on google and the Manna House had ALMOST 5 STARS!!! We get there and the atmosphere is nice but the restaurant was empty. The food on the hot bar look questionable but the clerk assured me it was fresh. I ordered the 3wing Fried Chicken plate with mac n cheese, dressing and a side of yams.. the other plate was Smothered Pork chops over white rice … with mac n cheese yams and a side of cabbage. OMG the food was horrible for $50 bucks… everything was STRAIGHT TRASH!!! GARBAGE and that’s where it went!!! I hate wasting money but I took that L. The wings were the freshest thing on the plate!!! The cabbage was unseasoned.. the mac n cheese was watered down disgusting!! The pork chops were old and tuff. The dressing was dry and old and the yams were sweet on the outside!!! 10 out of 10 I DONT RECOMMEND!!! I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!!

Oh baby they food is off the chain. Definitely reminds me of them church anniversary meals after service before the next service starts. Yes.. and most of the sides don’t have meat in them so I can definitely eat a great veggie plate. The fish is fried to order so it’s fresh and hot when you get it.

I always see people waiting for their food, so place an order online or call in your order. I waited the first time about 20 minutes for a to go order. I enjoyed everything I’ve gotten here but my favorite is the baked turkey wings. Oh man are they good. I just finished a plate there and now I’m ready to sleep zzzzzzzzzzzz

Im from Chicago and I’m traveling from out of town and was hopeful to find a Soul Food restaurant during my stay in Atlanta.
I’m not sure if the air condition went out, but when I walked in it was too hot to dine in. The staff didn’t greet me, but more so I forced a conversation.
Here’s what I ordered and how I’m rating it.
Corned Beef – tender but too salty 0 out of 10 ( I couldn’t eat it)
Dressing – dry; I ordered cranberry instead of gravy. 5 out of 10. (Needed more chicken broth). It’s impossible to mess up dressing.
Smothered Pork Chop – 6 out of 10. Adding onions to the gravy would have helped tone down the salt. They were tender.
Greens – 2 out of 10. Greens didn’t have any meat in them and they’re giving me “we came out of a can” vibes.
Candy Yams – 5 out of 10 not much to write home about. Giving me canned but doctored vibes.
Max and Cheese – 5 out of 10. Counting too much on the cheese to carry the flavor here.
Chicken Quarter with rice – 8 our 10. The only thing that was decent.
As much as I wanted to like this place, spending over $45 just went down the drain.
Unfortunately this establishments food leaves you feeling like you’re at a family holiday dinner wandering who messed up the mac and cheese and who overcooked the dressing!
