I had the chicken enchiladas and rice. Serving size was good, service was fast, and food above average. My wife had the taco salad, the size was smaller than typical, and the flavor was somewhat bland, Chips and salsa were very good. Chips were quite thick and crisp. Salsa was on the mild side, but thick and hearty. Margaritas were excellent. We shared the large blended lime. It was good to the last drop and a very solid value @ $12.00. Table and booth seating available.

I am visiting from Austin, Texas, where we know what great Mexican food is! I was absolutely surprised at how delicious the food was. As a person with celiacs, I always worry about eating out. The owner came to my table and made sure that I would be taken care of. This place has a fantastic selection of top-quality Bourbons and Tequila. The staff was pleasant and the delivery was fast. The prices were beyond reasonable (4 people) considering the amount of food. The next time I visit Oxford, I will be sure to come through again

If was about 70% full when we arrived and less than half full when we were finally served. After they finally took our order the food was out amazingly fast. The flautas were ok, but the pollo rancheras was dry and overdone. The refried beans were fairly good
The margaritas are premade and are very bleh. There was no requesting on the rocks and the only tequila upgrade was dumping in an extra shot. I did get my only beer of the night quickly, but apparently was only allowed to have one.

Twice now I have ordered. The first time I ordered I immediately got a text my order could not be filled, they still took my money, no order fufilled. After several days of unanswered phone calls, no owner in the building. I never received a callback from the manager.
Today I placed an order online at 545 pm. Never received an order confirmation. I called 3 times, no one answered the phone. I’m sure my money will be deducted tomorrow just like last time. Did not receive a text about not being able to complete my order until after I posted this review an hour later.

A hidden gem of the Portage restaurant scene. Atmosphere is fun and hospitable.
We were seated immediately the service was outstanding.
The menu is simply enormous and almost overwhelming, but in a good way. There were endless options of beef, pork and chicken cuisine. We went with pork carnita style soft shell street type tacos.
The meal was served so fast we hardly got to the chips and salsa provided. Impressive! The guacamole was simply delicious and perfect.
The portion size was above average for the price. The taste was explosively good and very fresh with large portion sides. You won’t leave this place hungry for sure.
The value for the price was very good. Combined with excellent quality and simply astonishing service, you’re in for a good experience here.

My girlfriend and I went to La Tolteca and had an absolutely amazing experience! The service was friendly, attentive, and super fast. The menu was full of authentic Mexican dishes, honestly, it was hard to choose because everything looked so good. I could’ve easily ordered the entire menu!
Our drinks came out quickly and were perfectly made refreshing and full of flavor.

I was charged $9 for the lunch special. The online menu said it was $8. It was supposed to be a burrito, but instead it was a soft shell taco the size of a Taco John’s soft shell (seriously, no hyperbole). And not as good either. Then they threw in a spoonful of cold rice on the side and called it a meal. A very disappointing experience.
