Cream City Ice Cream is a pretty good spot if you’re craving something sweet. They have a ton of flavor options to choose from, so it’s easy to find something you’ll like, and I love that they also offer a big variety of drinks. It’s nice when an ice cream shop has more than just the basics. The only downside is parking — it can be kind of difficult to find a spot, and you do have to walk a little bit to get there depending on where you park. It’s not a dealbreaker, just slightly inconvenient. Overall, it’s a solid place and definitely worth trying, but personally, nothing beats Lazy Cow Creamery for me.

I was running low on energy while my buddy was going through a marathon tattoo session at Tell No Tale.
The smell of childhood memories punched me in the scent sniffer the second I walked in the door.
It’s a true Ice Cream Parlor and the staff were amazing. I only got a coffee drink (which was fantastic) and the young lady behind the counter let me sample a couple of flavors.

My friends and I were in Cookeville exactly a year ago and stopped by this place. I was just scrolling through my photo gallery today and a picture of us all laughing with our ice cream cones popped up, and it brought back such a great memory I had to leave a review, even a year late!
I honestly still think about how good that ice cream was. The flavors were incredible, and it was so creamy and perfect. The shop itself had such a great, friendly vibe. We all agreed it was hands-down the best ice cream we had in town, and probably one of the best we’ve had, period.
If you’re in Cookeville, you absolutely have to go.

We love a vintage ice cream place. Just something special about having ice cream from an old timey place. We stopover in Cookeville which is such a cute little town and Cream City ice cream with its huge neon sign is attention grabbing. We had to stop here after our dinner. Super friendly young crew. We enjoyed sitting outside with our ice cream treats.

I can’t even begin to explain how much I love this place! They have a great variety, it’s always a generous amount, and the staff are absolutely fantastic! They honor military discounts, which are few and far between now plus they offer little rewards punch cards. I adore that it’s a small, local business with a very impressive historical background including one of the oldest, working neon signs in all of Tennessee. It’s gorgeous. We eat there once a week or more. I can’t imagine eating at any other ice cream place in Cookeville. I’m so so so happy it’s here.

Delicious ice cream and amazing ice cream sandwiches! The walk-up window makes ordering super convenient, and the employees were so sweet and clearly working hard to keep things moving. Great service and even better treats—10/10, highly recommend!

We love everything about this place, literally EVERYTHING! The staff is super friendly and helpful but I was so impressed by their patience with indecisive young kiddos AND surly teenagers This sweet little shop is always super clean with super laid back homey feel or as my 7 year old describes it, “comfy” They have cozy little tables and sofas if you want to hang out. But they also have a huge lounge area in the back for parties or just larger groups in general. OR walk across the street to check out the train depot, which is a great spot to snap some cool photos. I could go on forever and I haven’t even gotten to the actual ice cream. It’s AMAZING, by the way and I’m pretty sure their prices might be a little lower than the other ice cream places in town. So yeah, you should definitely make this place one of your regular stops. I promise it will not disappoint!

Kinda a don’t miss place. Old time style with a side of nostalgia. We had a mixed flavor shake, chocolate peanut butter, and a Blackberry Cornbread scoop. Interesting flavors to choose from. All 3 of us agreed it was 5 star. The staff was friendly and awesome as well. The sign alone is worth the stop. And you get the extras of the depot and engine caboose combo with the bicycle arch across the street.

Busy busy place and I know why 🙂 Their ice cream is yummy. I ordered the salted caramel with a sugar cone dipped in chocolate!! Absolutely delish! The sweet gal that took care of us went beyond the call, worth the wait! I will be back when I am visiting again! Thank you, Cream City
