If you’re hungry and thinking “it would be so nice to sit by the plaza, watch the pigeons and have a nice meal”, BUT you are craving pizza, I’m writing this to assure you that if you come to this place, you will forget the pigeons and the plaza and you’ll have some incredible pizza. Don’t think twice!

Dining at Curcio was a fun and flavorful experience. Known for its iconic pizza topping combinations, this spot offers a unique twist on the classics. Their house-made dough is wonderfully crunchy and feels lighter and healthier than your usual pizza — a definite highlight.
The place is small and mostly designed for takeout, but if you’re lucky enough to grab a table, you’ll get to fully enjoy the experience. It’s the perfect excuse to try several different flavors — and we did just that!
My favorite was the prosciutto, 4 chesses with truffles honey, pistacchio and honey, but the mushroom one was also incredible. Honestly, we loved them all. Each slice was packed with flavor and creativity.
Curcio is a must-visit for pizza lovers looking for something original and delicious. Highly recommended!

The best pizza ever in Santo Domingo! The customer service is a little bit deficient since they have a lot of customers and the staff is with a lot of work, maybe that’s the reason why they are not so kind. But the pizza is the best. You can get a drink there if you want and many different pizzas.
You can stay inside or outside and they provide ice if you want (the weather is very hot in Dominican Republic) so the ice is great! I’m attaching my ticket so you can have an idea about the prices but definitely a VERY GOOD PLACE!

At the moment, this is my favorite pizza in the country, and this is not an overstatement. The flavors are on point and you’d enjoy if you prefer a rather ticker and crispy crust. The location offers indoor seating and you have seating places to eat while enjoying take out. Usually you would select your preference and then they warm it up and make final improvements. Fully recommend this place and be minded that parking spaces are limited and the place might become crowded during rush hour.

So let’s get the food out of the alway first. The pizza offerings are quite DELICIOUS. I highly recommend the italian soda. It has a less intense flavor than regular soda, and less sugar, but it’s quite good.
Service was nice and polite. They seem to really appreciate your business. They are quite savvy in what they are offering, which is always my minimum requirement from a waiter.
The atmosfere isn’t bad. I took one star because I don’t think there’s supposed to be an atmosphere in a place like this. You order over the counter, in 5mins or less you have your slice, you sit down, you eat, you pay, you leave.
Is there music? Yes. Is it loud? No. But if the place is moderately crowded the acoustics will make it sound noisy.
No lounge chairs (who would go to a pizza parlor for lounge chairs?), no particular lighting, no special or artsy decoration.
It’s a place to order delicious pizza. That’s it.
P.S. Seating might be a problem if you are a large group.

After hearing numerous recommendations, I visited Curcio Pizza al Taglio in the Zona Colonial. They offer a diverse selection of approximately eight pizza styles, ranging from savory to sweet. I opted for the “Pistachio, Pancetta, and Honey” pizza, which was unbelievable. The combination of sweet and salty flavors in each bite was exceptional. I highly recommend it—100%!

I was told to visit this place because there was a big hype about it on TikTok. In my opinion it did not live to the hype. First, you have to wait in line forever because everyone wants to try this spot. Second, once you order it feels like forever to take your pizza. Third, the place it’s so small that I had to sit outside in the plaza next to it, inside was insanely crowded! Fourth, pizza was not that good.

Curcio Pizza Al Taglio introduced me to a new concept of pizzeria that quickly became one of my favorites. Here, you order pizza by the slice, which are generously proportioned and quite large. After choosing from their 12 to 16 different varieties, the slices are heated in an oven before you pay.
They also offer beer, and you can choose to sit either inside or outside in a very casual environment. This place may be small and unassuming, located in a busy and walkable area in the center of La Zona Colonial, but it delivers big on flavor.
Considering the size of the slices and the outstanding flavor, the prices are quite reasonable, especially given the venue and area. I have to say, this was probably one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had in my life, and I’m not exaggerating. The pizza is outstanding, making it totally worth a visit. I’ll definitely be coming back.
