I ordered a green grape yogurt, and while drinking it, I kept chewing on hard foreign objects.
At first, I assumed they were grape seeds or fruit pulp and continued drinking.
Since I got it as takeout at night, it was difficult to see what was inside the drink.
However, as I kept drinking, no matter how much I chewed, it didn’t feel like food at all.
When I got home and checked the floor, I realized there were many small pieces of cut plastic mixed in the drink.
What customer would ever expect plastic to be ground up and come out in a beverage?
The moment my suspicion was confirmed, my heart sank.
I had already swallowed so many plastic fragments, and not knowing if or when this could affect my health made me feel extremely uncomfortable and upset.
I contacted the owner immediately after discovering this and asked them to be more careful in the future.
They apologized and offered a free drink on my next visit, but honestly, I’m not sure if there will be a next time.
After checking other reviews, it seems this may not have been a one-time mistake, which makes the situation even more concerning.
I can’t understand how plastic could possibly be ground up during the drink-making process.
My throat felt completely fine before drinking this, but afterward, it felt sore and irritated, as if there was something stuck.
This could be psychological, but I don’t think this is something that should be overlooked.
I highly recommend the pineapple, original, and purple rice with low sugar. I really like that this place includes fruit juice in the yogurt drinks. The other Hey Yogurt locations just tend to add a thin layer of fruit and call it a day.
This is a must stop every time we eat in Pal Park.
