Chef was nice, brought out food. Ordered Chile Relleno Burrito. Taste overall was okay but the sauce used inside was SUPER SALTY and runny , couldn’t pick the burrito up kinda like a wet burrito. Would have liked to been asked if I wanted the sauce. I definitely always get it dry. The tomatillo salsa that came on the side was nice and spicy. Ordered this Burrito for breakfast, Chile Relleno is EGG battered dipped but Clerk said no FREE coffee with this Breakfast Burrito because it doesn’t have egg go figure…

Piggie’s is a no-frills, classic local spot that delivers exactly what you’d expect—hearty portions, solid flavor, and that nostalgic diner feel. I tried the pastrami sandwich and was impressed by the tenderness and fresh bread. The breakfast menu is stacked and available all day, which is a huge plus. Staff were friendly and service was quick. It’s not fancy, but it hits the mark when you want a filling meal with a neighborhood vibe. Definitely a reliable go-to in Hawthorne.

I was visiting a friend who lives in the area and we decided to go out to lunch so we went to Piggie’s. I got the chicken taco plate, he got the asada fries. Both were delicious and the portions are great for the price. I highly recommend visiting this place especially with your family. The value was worth it. The owner even came to the table to see if we enjoyed our meal.

Well, I had a roast beef. It was good but… They have a lot to change if they want a better review for instance the service is trash, because they don’t have any. The shake straw was not letting anything through and the lady got frustrated because I wanted more dressing because they’re portions are tiny and I was willing to pay the difference PEOPLE WANT FOOD AND THEY PAY FOR IT . I can’t believe they would be frustrated with customers trying to give them more money.

Decent, good variety dinner. Huge selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Huge portions on everything ordered. The hash was super salty. Goid hashbrowns except for the weird seasoning. Simple and plain dining area but was super friendly staff. They were very attentive. Almost too pricy for the casuelness of the place. Overall a good dining experience.

Nothing like it used to be. I think new management. The breakfast tast very different. I visited twice in last two weeks to see if I was overreacting. But No, the breakfast c.potatoes were half cooked. Zero flavor . Used to be my spot!. Not

It’s an overall solid choice if you want to eat at a greasy spoon.

Updating review to 4 stars.
They have good days and bad days.

Must have is the chili cheese fries.
The Parmesan burger is also very recommended

Their breakfast special (hash browns, three eggs, and toast) is SO GOOD. It’s become one of my absolute favorites. The workers here are always nice too! Food is ready fast. Cheese enchiladas are decent, but I love them; idk why but I always feel nostalgic eating them.

I have been coming to Piggies since the 1990s with my grandfather, and whatever reputation it once had is gone. I was ignored while standing in line, overheard inappropriate staff conversation, and I speak Spanish, so staff should be mindful of what they say because you never know who understands. My prepaid pickup order was wrong, and when I pointed it out, the cashier rolled her eyes and smacked her lips. The food was bland, my steak was overcooked, the service was openly disrespectful, and the entire experience was careless and unprofessional. With so many better restaurants in the area, there is absolutely no reason to waste your money or time here.

Even with inflation and costs going up everywhere, the pricing here is insane. We’ve been coming here for the pastrami for decades and it’s still very very good but the portions now are extremely small. The sandwich was about the size of a hot pocket and it was $6.50 just to make it a combo which is ridiculous. Fries were very good but I would recommend sharing with someone to keep it reasonable. Very cool custom murals.
