Fisherman’s Basket in Palm Desert offers a pleasant dining experience with tasty seafood. We enjoyed the clam chowder and seared Ahi tuna, both flavorful dishes. The restaurant had plenty of space, making it a comfortable spot to relax, and surprisingly, it wasn’t busy on a Saturday night. Parking was also easy to find. Overall, we had a lovely time and look forward to returning for more delicious treats.

If you’re looking for fresh seafood options in the desert, give the fisherman’s market and grill a try. It’s hard to find good seafood at a reasonable price in the Coachella Valley. This restaurant also provides fish options you can take home.

Legit fish tacos! I got the grilled cod and a side of coleslaw. It was perfect for my gluten free needs. Honestly, these were the best fish tacos I’ve had in The States.

Had the Halibut and chips. Good taste. Good size. Good service. Will come back again for the live music.

Had some of the best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. It’s kind of a serve-yourself place and the decor is nothing fancy, but I’ll go back ‘cos the food was that good. I liked that they had malt vinegar on the tables and the ‘ocean’ sounds as the door opened was a nice touch.

We used to go to the Palm Springs location but stopped going at multiple disappointing experiences. We decided to try this location and was pleasantly surprised at how good everything was at this location. The food and portion sizes were superb. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They also had love music out there with people dancing. We had a great time, and we will be back!

A bit quirky place consisting of 2 halls: a small cafe were you have to order and pay at the register (and they bring your food to the table) and the restaurant proper. Strangely enough, the cafe has a separate menu and it’s larger than the restaurant’s.
I ate at the cafe and liked the wide variety of fish available, including catfish, my favorite. It was pretty good. And they have very good and inexpensive wines to go with the fish.

The folks gere are friendly and welcoming, but this was not a good meal. The fish was so greasy that we had to get extra napkins to soak up the drippings before we could eat. The portion sizes are good, but that doesn’t count if you can’t enjoy the meal. This was my brother’s favorite seafood restaurant before this last visit. We paid $22 each for a meal we couldn’t eat. The coleslaw was fresh, crunchy, and tasty. The sweet potato fries were a little dry and not seasoned. We drove from the Inland Empire to enjoy a seafood meal but ended up dining on a slice of pizza from Costco.

We ordered the Hawaiian combo, grilled codfish tacos, calamari, and clam chowder.
The tacos, calamari, and clam chowder were very good.
The Hawaiian combo had a mixed review. My companion didn’t care for the flavor of teriyaki sauce. I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce as well as the salmon, but we both felt like the Mahi Mahi and shrimp were overcooked.
Service was very good and appreciated.
If we are in the area, we would definitely return to try other items on the menu.
