Stopped while traveling through the area based on reviews and we were not disappointed. The food selection is fantastic. Our group had a Margarita pizza, Rueben, turkey sandwich, Greek salad and a fajita wrap. Everything was very good. The atmosphere is very nice as well with a pub type atmosphere that is not as noisy as you would think. We’d definitely go back.

If I lived here, I would be a regular. The atmosphere is perfect. They have a wonderful selection of speciality pizzas, sandwiches, bakery and deli items made fresh. A personal favorite of mine are the variety of espresso drinks. Eclectic indeed, well done!

Great experience at Mountain Goat Market!
We got there about 10 minutes before opening and were glad we did, we were able to order right away, but by the time we left, the line was out the door. Everything we tried was excellent, especially the Chicka Boom pizza, so flavorful and unique! The atmosphere was lively and the staff was friendly. My kids enjoyed the classic pb & j.
My only complaint is the bathroom situation, with how busy the place gets, having only two single-stall restrooms creates a bit of a bottleneck. Still, that’s a small issue compared to how great everything else was. Highly recommend stopping in!

Do yourself a favor and go. Everything was fantastic. I was expecting a sleep town sandwich shop but was pleasantly surprised when we drove up. It was absolutely packed. We have added it to our list of ‘must return to’ in our travels. A sandwich is just a sandwich until you get a great sandwich, then it’s an experience!

Wonderful selection of pizza, sandwiches and salads. If you can’t find something of interest, I doubt you’re hungry. Good portions and quite fair pricing.
We stopped here with a hiking group, so I had no idea what to expect. It was a beautiful Saturday so this place was packed. However, their ordering process made short of our wait and we all were eating before long.
Its a very good restaurant in a beautiful area, making this a nice family day trip.

We’ve been going to the Mountain Goat for years now, and it never disappoints.
I kinda hate to say that because it will become even more popular, but they deserve a 5-Star review for consistently good food and good service, too.
We especially enjoy their pizza because it’s consistently good. We went on Saturday and it was packed, so service was a bit slower than normal, but it was worth the wait.
Will we go back?? Absolutely we will!! We consider it the best Monteagle has to offer!

First time here. I got hungry after a hike in nearby Grundy Forest SNA. I ordered the Ragin Cajun. It was fabulous! Hip atmosphere with lots of seating, including patio area. I’ll be back when I’m in the area again.

Everything tasted good but some of the sandwiches were a bit too oily. I got the chicken salad which was very balanced and yummy but the bread it was on was too oily and couldn’t hold the salad.
Matcha latte was great and lots of the other options looked super yummy.
Atmosphere is the best because there are enormous indoor and outdoor seating areas.
Would be willing to try other dishes in the future!

Coming across the mountain from Nashville and stopped for a nearby Tesla Supercharger and decided to look for food, coming across this place.
Ordered the Fancy Pants pizza and it was absolutely fantastic and at a great price considering the quality, variety and atmosphere of the restaurant (quirky and modern “downtown” feel). Nice craft beer selection, too.
Can’t wait to stop again.
