We had a really nice experience at Snug Harbor. The waterfront atmosphere is great, you can see boats passing by, people are in a good mood, and the vibe is relaxed and enjoyable. The staff was friendly and smiling.

Food-wise, we decided to only order appetizers to share. The standout for me was the fried calamari. It was crispy, flavorful, and the sauce paired great with it. The banana peppers were great with it.

We also ordered shrimp cocktail. As expected, it was pretty plain on its own, but that’s kind of the nature of shrimp cocktail. With the sauce, it tasted good, but I wouldn’t say this is something unique to the restaurant, just standard shrimp cocktail done fine.

We tried oysters, both cold and gratinated. I liked the Parmesan-gratinated oysters. My mother-in-law wasn’t impressed. As for the cold oysters, it was more of a neutral experience for me. I didn’t dislike them at all, especially with Tabasco and cocktail sauce, but the texture is definitely something you either love or need time to get used to. No strong good or bad opinion there.

We also had a tuna salad with crackers. The tuna was good, and I actually enjoyed it, especially with the jalapeños. The crackers were a bit over-toasted and hard to chew, something I didn’t mind, but my mother in law noticed more.

It’s a place I’d definitely enjoy going back to for the experience.

Called ahead for reservation for party of 13. There is a parking lot and we paid attendant $10. Fast service! Good food. Ordered platter with blackened shrimp. Do not prefer the pineapple slaw, but it was ok.. it tastes like a jello fluff. One party member was celebrating 18th bday and enjoyed a complimentary piece of keylime pie. Delicious! The vibe was amazing! Options available for those that don’t enjoy seafood. Patio heaters were helpful on a slightly cool evening.

The place looks, and feels like any other lackluster FMB bar. The menu sticky, and feels lacking. But the grouper? Best in all of SWFL. I got the grouper sandwich. I had to ask for blackened ad the menu only shows fried. It was worth the inquiry. I’ve never had grouper so fresh and so perfectly cooked. They also have those battered French fries, yeah the crispy ones everyone loves. The pina colada was perfect too. The bathrooms and the rest of the vibe fit the bill for the rest of FMB — a bit dirty, a bit rundown. But GO HERE FOR THE FISH SANDWHICH. The food is better than Doc Ford’s

My husband and I had such a great time here. Great food and great bartenders. Dylan and Brittany were awesome. Suggested great drinks and even better shots. This will be my go to place next time I visit.

My family was visiting Snug Harbor on our boat. Dee, our server, was very friendly and made us feel comfortable.

I recommend the Spicy Margarita (regular) it was very refreshing after being on the boat. My wife had the shrimp cocktail and the shrimp portions were huge! I had Mary’s Calimari and I enjoyed it.

Snug Harbor is a quaint spot for getting together with friends and a nice spot to have a relaxing meal if you or your group is spending a day on the boat.

I recommend Snug Harbor.

Enjoy!

We brought the fish we caught on Captain Tony’s in and asked for them to fry and blacken it. It was absolutely fantastic. The coleslaw was really good too! The service was awesome. We enjoyed our view of the water, enjoying the dolphins and boats .
