Reviews
Overall, it was a good experience. The butter chicken, rice, mango chutney, and naan were good as was the mango lassi and guava juice. Unlike other Indian restaurants, rice has to be purchased separately.
Service was friendly, but it was slow. Our food didn’t come until 30-40 minutes after we ordered and there were barely any customers.
Overall, we recommend this spot if you love butter chicken!
Portion was a lot – one plate could suffice for 2 people.
Food 4/5
Ambience 4/5 Very basic but pleasant, you can have the conversation while eating with soft acoustic music playing
Service 5/5
In Athens, a city steeped in history and Mediterranean delights, you’ll find a delightful escape to the vibrant world of Indian cuisine at Namaste Indian Restaurant.
From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with an ambiance of cozy magic. The dimly lit interior creates a warm, intimate setting, perfect for a relaxed and memorable dining experience. The staff, especially our waiter, was incredibly courteous and attentive, offering excellent recommendations with genuine enthusiasm. His suggestions never disappointed!
We started with their samosas, highly recommend , opt for the potato filling—they were perfectly cooked and flavorful. Paired with a warm, fluffy garlic naan bread, it was the ideal beginning to our meal. The star of the show was undoubtedly the chicken masala. Each bite was a burst of aromatic spices and tender chicken.
Every minute spent here was worth it, offering not just a meal but a complete sensory journey.
For anyone seeking a top-notch Indian dining experience in Athens, Namaste Indian Restaurant is a must-visit. You’ll leave with a full stomach and a heart full of gratitude for the wonderful food and hospitality.
Will definitely go again. It is also a short walk from the Acropolis metro station.
