The Huntington Beach McDonald’s was a complete disappointment. The customer service was abysmal, and the food was even worse. My cheeseburger was drenched in ketchup, and the replacement was just as bad. I ended up going to 5 Guys, where I received excellent service and a delicious burger. Avoid this McDonald’s at all costs!

Service was quick and friendly. You do have to order at the kiosk for the most part, which can be confusing is you’re not familiar with it. We watched some people have difficulty with it.
I would recommend being early on a weekend as the drive thru backs up onto the roadway.

I bought some fries here using a coupon from the app and I bit into them about half way into the fries when I tasted what only could’ve been spoiled food of some kind. I simply ordered a fry and drink.

If you’re planning to visit this location for an ice cream item, prepare to be disappointed. I came in at 9pm, well before closing time, and was told they were “not doing ice cream right now.” There was no explanation beyond that, and no indication of any technical issue or machine malfunction.
If a menu item is advertised and available during posted business hours, it should be available to order. Refusing to serve it simply because staff have decided not to is unacceptable and reflects poorly on customer service standards. Very disappointing experience.

Just like any run-of-the-mill McDonalds that we’ve all been to. The one on Brookhurst in Fountain Valley is only weak in one area: the competence and attitudes of the employees. Some of the personnel that I have dealt with at the counter need more training and can-do spirit. Might be a sign of lack of good management/leadership?
