Onomatopoeia by Dango is a scratch driven menu available at the Juncsure Social Lounge in the Historic Lowell School. Located in the former principal’s office, the small lounge esque dining room has a playful and welcoming atmosphere. By definition, onomatopoeia is a word that mimics sound, and at Onomatopoeia by Dango, we aim to capture this same feeling through our thoughtfully designed menus, and handcrafted food. Dining at Onomatopoeia is designed to remind guests of their inner child through just the right amount of juxtaposition, playfulness, and interactive food.

This was such a fun experience from the beginning to the end! You can tell there was a lot of attention to detail and creativity with the space and the menu. The 5 courses were served at a perfect pace throughout the night and the service was excellent. Each dish was beautifully put together and full of wonderful surprises and layers of flavor to explore. We felt comfortably pushed out of our comfort zone and continued to look forward to each course. The suggested beer pairings from Gemini also enhanced the food and the experience overall. We went as a party of two, but are already looking forward to coming back with a small group of adventurous friends!
