Our usual late night eatery! “When the smoke is blowing, that’s when I’m going!” After a long road trip, we had to get some. It was around midnight and the line was long, but I don’t think we were waiting for more than 5-7 minutes. The food was good as per usual and I’m sure we’ll be back next time we’re in town.

Cook Out is always a solid choice for good food, and this visit was no different. I ordered two trays, and while everything tasted great, I noticed one small inconsistency—one tray had the double fries I requested, but the other didn’t.
It’s a bit disappointing since I always look forward to those extra fries, but I guess I have to accept that consistency with this request isn’t guaranteed. That said, the food was still delicious overall, and I’ll definitely keep coming back.

The food was great! It came out hot and it was seasoned. The customer service, however, was awful. First, the woman who took my order, Tanzania, had an obvious, annoyed tone in her voice. Second, I ordered 2 trays. Both a Cajun chicken sandwich, one with fries and cheese bites, the other with 2 sides of okra. All would’ve been well if I didn’t open the tray with double okra and see 2 sides of coleslaw. Why? I went back through to get it fixed and ask for okra and she goes “we don’t have okra at this location.” And that would have been great to know before hand! Why aren’t we telling our customers that when they order it for the first time? And why aren’t we asking if they would like something else instead of assuming? This place needs better communication between customer and server. Horrendous.

I went to this Cookout about an hour and a half before closing (what I believe is a reasonable time for fast food) and the woman taking my order was incredibly hurried and rude. She had an annoyed tone in her voice and gave me maybe two seconds to respond before repeating herself louder as if that would make me talk faster. She took her sweet time with the customer in the driver through before me, but giving her the benefit of the doubt maybe they were difficult customers. When I got to the window it was the same way, hurriedly handing our food out like they were in their busiest rush hour–with only three other customers at the restaurant–when we checked our food we discovered that one of the sides in one of our trays was completely missing. Normally I would never do this, but for $19 we want the food we paid for, we drive back to the Cookout. I went to the walk-up window this time and thankfully the woman who helped me there had great customer service and was very polite. I’ve never had any issues at any Cookout that I’ve been too before this one.

I got a bacon wrap with bacon that’s only cooked on the ends. And it’s like 3 pieces of bacon stuck together which means that’s exactly how it was cooked. Disgusting and I’m glad I decided to open it because the first bite tasted weird. Please don’t work in fast food if you can’t at least care about sending out uncooked food. This will very likely get someone sick. Sending out raw pork is reckless.

I love cookouts food selection! Good food & affordable. The reason for this review is bc everytime I come thru the drive thru, There’s no customer service. Today I asked for ketchup & the guy working the window just looked at me. I handed him my card & say “thank you. He just stared at me. No manners whatsoever. I kindly asked for ketchup. I open my bag, no ketchup & my fries are missing!! They need to step up their customer service game & be like chic fila. I’ll take my business elsewhere!!!

The milkshakes and corndogs are amazing and the hushpuppies are worth every penny and more, but the small fries aren’t worth it for how few you get; just get the large or forget about it.

I think the prices are very reasonable and the food is very good. I love the milkshakes and the cheddar bites! My hubby loves the BBQ sandwich and burgers.
