Went for dinner instead of Ole south where we normally go when going to owensboro. We went because the ratings and Facebook pictures looked good. When we walked in we were greeted immediately and seated. All the buffet appeared full and everything we had was fresh. The chicken quality was great along with everything else on the buffet. Ice cream was also really good. Only 4 stars on service because my wife didnt get a refill while there. We will keep here in mind anytime we are wanting chinese as it’s better than any of the Evansville buffets.

This place is a local legend as far as I’m concerned. It’s always the same. Always clean. Quick service. I’ve been going for what seems like most of my life. I don’t know how long they’ve been open but over ten years. The food never changes quality. Always delicious, hot, and fresh. I don’t know what else you could ask from a Chinese buffet.

The food was good but our waiter was extremely rude, she could clearly understand english but refused to speak it to us and would say things in (I assume) chinese. Which when you dont know the language and this lady just threw a napkin and two straws at you like a stray dog. My girlfriend wanted a few extra lemon and the lady comes back with a plate with like 10 lemons on it and just clonks it on the table. Got nO tip from me

Me and my 9 yr old came in to get to go plates. I ask how it work. The man told me “plate full” and pointed. So we got our food, in the world smallest to go plates. About to size of my hand. And this man charged me 16.00 a piece! On the website It advertises something else entirely. I was confused on how a small to go container can cost just as much as an all you can eat buffet. So I looked up the price on to go containers on their website one advertises 10.99 and the other 12.99. I’ll never do it again. We got home to eat and all I can say is there’s nothing like eating lukewarm Chinese food. I hope it doesn’t make us sick

This might have been the worst place I’ve ever been to. All the food was horrible, the chicken was yellow, the pork was tasteless, the sushi was ok. The desert wasn’t any better all had some horrible bitter tastes. The ice cream was maybe the only thing they didn’t mess up.

They have the best fried chicken in Owensboro. Their buffet is excellent with a wide selection of Chinese dishes. They also have pizza, fish, and fresh fruit.

I’ve never had an issue and I go to New China Buffet atleast TWICE a month. There’s always fresh food out and if there’s not they’ll catch it and start filling it up, I’ve even been stopped before so they could put fresh and I could get that instead. While the to go box’s LOOK small, I’m able to stuff my box and get enough food to eat today AND tommorow.

Food is great most of time but markup of takeout to $19.99 per tray is too much, if your gonna spend that much eat at a steak house.

Food is always hot and taste great. The staff are nice and always on top of things. One of the better places to go for a buffet.

We’ve been coming here for years. There have been times when it was overly busy and as one could expect some items start to run low. When some items start to run low – they don’t stay that way for long. The food is very good and there’s a nice variety. There are chinese restaurants in Beaver Dam and Central City where you pay before eating and the selection is about half of what New China has. You have to eat quite a bit of only a few items just to get close to being full. Not my kind of buffet personally. We’ve never had a problem with New China and will continue eating there. The price is pretty fair too.
