This was my first time dining at this restaurant and honestly, I’d never heard of it. I decided to take a chance since it was around Valentine’s Day and places were completely booked solid. We made rather late reservations for Friday (the 13th ) and were a bit anxious as to how this would turn out. Man were we delighted! From the drinks, to the appetizers, to the entrees. EVERYTHING was delicious!
Our experience may not been as pleasant as it was without our he service of Cierra. She was a complete sweetheart! She took phenomenal care of us and made sure that none of our needs went unmet.
For drinks, we had the Daisy, Strawberry Mojito (not on the menu), and cask Chardonnay and a Night in Napa(? Can’t recall the exact name of the drink as it was a part of the special menu.
For appetizers, we had chilled jumbo shrimp and the trout dip- both were great! The shrimp were humongous prawns and were very fresh!
For entree’s, we had the Valentine’s Day special Halibut and the buttermilk breaded chicken sandwich. Everything was absolutely amazing!
We don’t have this brand in Cleveland, but after our visit, I’m seriously looking into bringing a franchise home!
The food absolutely delivered. The sushi rolls were incredibly fresh, clean, and well balanced. The trout was rich, smokey, and memorable enough that we’re still talking about it. Hudson 29 also happens to serve my wife’s favorite drink—a Hot & Dirty martini with Calabrian Chili bleu cheese stuffed olives. Honestly, she’d come back just for those olives alone, and I can’t blame her.
Between the excellent food, thoughtful service, and inviting atmosphere, Hudson 29 made our date night feel special without trying too hard. It’s the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
The cheese stuff rolls were okay. Not spectacular but in all honesty we’d probably go with a different appetizer in the future. My wife went with two different r sushi rolls and thoroughly enjoyed them. I went with their burger and was not disappointed. It tasted delicious and rivaled that of other fine dining burgers I’ve eaten in the past.
If youre a bourbon guy, get the Revolver. It says it has coconut but don’t let that scare you. It was not overpowering and tasted excellent.
Finally we finished up with the berry cobbler since we’re on the cusp of summer and it was perfect to end the meal with. The mixed berries and vanilla bean ice cream was tremendous!
Overall the ambiance and atmosphere was perfect for a date night and when I saw there were no paper towels in the me s room after washing my hands, I went to speak to a manger and she was already on it.
Staff appears to be very professional and take pride in what they do. Highly recommend this location.
For being a Cameron Mitchell Restaurant, I am a little bit disappointed about the quality of food. The queso dip that we got was cold, the guacamole was decent. My friend ordered a burger and fries and the fries tasted nearly similar to those that you’d get at McDonald’s. I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese and it was decent, the food was cold. It wasn’t a terrible experience but I feel like for the amount of money we pay at these upscale restaurants I expected a lot better in the quality of food.
