I understand price increases as it is happening everywhere but for £32.50 for a Carnivore tray is ridiculous for the amount of food I received! A handful of chips and a sausage that has clearly been cut in half and two small slices of brisket it is simply not good enough.
The waiter was clearing a table next to mine and had no consideration to where he was spraying the chemicals he literally sprayed onto my table whilst I was eating, I did mention to him that he had just sprayed me but he seemed like he didn’t care I got a half bothered ‘oh sorry’ off of him! Spray into your cloth next time as your training would suggest
I wouldn’t even bother spending your hard earned cash at this establishment as I know bills can be £100 for just 2 people, treat yourself to a takeaway subpar yes but you know what you’re getting
A bit on the pricey side at £18 for there cheapest burger with chips.
Staff were friendly, attentive and we had a great evening.
The restaurant was almost empty when I arrived at 4pm midweek, with fewer than a dozen cars in the car park. I stood at the host stand waiting to be greeted, but no one came. It was only after one of the chefs spotted me that someone finally arrived—after what felt like an age.
I asked for a booth outside; there are four in total. One was occupied and the other three were empty but not clean, so I offered to wait. The host removed a dirty glass from one of the tables and ushered me to sit down, but never came back to wipe the table, which I thought was poor.
My order was taken promptly, and my plate, bottle of water, silverware, and napkin/bib arrived quickly, as did my drink. The complimentary popcorn, however, was slow to appear.
The server who brought my food was lovely (that was the only time I saw him), and someone checked in to make sure everything was okay. The food itself was very good—all the smoked items had a lovely pink smoke ring. The brisket was a little dry, but apart from that I couldn’t fault the quality or the portion sizes.
Service slowed down again once I’d finished eating. My plate wasn’t cleared for a long time, even though I was the only person seated outside by then—it felt like I’d been forgotten about. When someone finally came, I asked for the bill and a box for my leftovers, but both took a while to arrive. I’m all for “low and slow” BBQ, but not when it comes to service.
Great family dining, especially for meatlovers.
The atmosphere was great, although the noise level for me was too high, but that is due to my personal sensory issues.
We were really looking forward to the smokehouse, but it didn’t quite live up to our expectations.
The food was quite average, small portions, and drinks were a bit pricey compared to a local pub.
We’re always happy to treat ourselves, but at nearly £90 for three mains, three drinks, and a tip, we left the place hungry and neither of us are big eaters.
