Great value for money, short wait time, food tastes incredible, and military discount! Service was also great. Large menu with plenty of choice. Margs were great. Will definitely return when in the area.

Decided to go here for another Bday-month dinner. Usually my experience is on-point but tonite was definitely a NO-NO!!
Ordered the Three Amigos because it looked good the last time my friend ordered it. But mine just didn’t look appealing. Switched out the salad for beans but they came out covered in grease which was from the steak (which was too fatty). When I tried to replace it with another meal, I was told that they couldn’t take food back (some new policy) and that if I ordered something else, I would have to pay for both. WHERE THEY DO THAT AT??? Who pays for food they didn’t eat?
Anyway, I will NEVER be coming back here (have been here many times) nor will I recommend them anymore! Thx for NOT allowing me to enjoy a Bday meal 🙁

We were in Sumter visiting family for the holiday, and we grabbed a quick dinner. We got the chicken fajitas – sizzling hot, perfectly seasoned chicken, onions, and peppers; looked and tasted great. Their chicken enchiladas were awesome too, smothered in this amazing sauce and just the right amount of cheese
Don’t miss the tostadas; they were loaded with fresh stuff and so crunchy. And if you like classic Mexican, the beef tacos were perfect
Seriously, the whole meal was delicious and authentic. Highly recommend!

My mother is disabled and called in to the restaurant to see if a worker could bring her food out to her since she was unable to go inside while I was working. Normally, I’d go and pick it up for her if she needed. She did not have any urgency with the request and let them know she would wait as long as she needed to, patiently, of course. The worker said no and that was the end of it. It’s interesting how this establishment allows ableism to pass.
Take this for what you will, but we will continue going to Angels and spending our money there. They were able to bring her food to her with no problem and she waited for it while she read her book.
I hardly ever write reviews, but I do when it calls for it. I don’t care for any fallacies in a response. Just wanted to call this out for any other disabled folks that need to hear this.

My wife and I were driving back from the beach and decided to stop in Sumter for lunch. We found Yucatan tucked into a shopping strip and were very surprised. They have a row of at least 20 ‘best restaurant’ certificates on the wall, and for good reason. The decorations and atmosphere were great. The food was amazing. We ordered from the lunch menu and got so much food we had to take 1/2 with us.

I love this place and have nothing negative to su about food, service, or atmosphere. My problem is with the rice portions. It doesn’t cost them anything for them to double the rice portions. They are so tiny, and if you ask for more rice they charge you a lot for half a portion.
I love rice but hate paying so much for the rice. I can it 3 times the portion but don’t want to pay a lot for it.
Most likely, I will continue going there but they should serve more rice. BTW. I always tell the servers that the rice portions are very small.

Was told it’s a great place to eat. Went there for the first time for lunch… wasn’t to impressed by the service. Walking in we were seated right away that was great. Then it went a bit downhill. Sat for almost 10-15min before being greeted by a server. We were ready to order. Not a hello or be right there… Definitely wasn’t a great impression. Then finally a server sad sorry we are in between switching shifts… thought that was a little odd since it was 12:30- 1pm in the middle of their lunch menu. I’ve been in the restaurant business many years, never in my years would see changing shifts in the middle of lunch… when lunch ends at 3pm. Then the server was a bit rushed asking our drinks. I stated we’ll we are ready to order. You can see the frustration on their face. One reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 2 is the food did come out fast. That was a plus… I’m not saying I won’t go again and give them another try. But, my first time there just wasn’t a great experience. The food all and all was pretty good. Portions seemed a little small ( I didn’t even order from the lunch menu) maybe it will be different next time.
