DISGUSTING Experience – I’ve Had Enough of This McDonald’s in Youngsville, NC

I’ve given this location way too many chances, and every single visit is a disappointment. Two days ago, my food was served cold, the fries were undercooked, and when I asked for it to be corrected, the manager had a terrible attitude and acted like I was inconveniencing them.

Today was the worst experience yet. I ordered a cheeseburger and literally saw spit on the burger. That’s unhygienic, disgusting, and a serious health concern. I refused to eat it.

What makes it worse? I’ve complained multiple times through the proper customer service channels and have NEVER received a single follow-up. No phone call. No email. No text. Absolutely no accountability from McDonald’s or this specific location.

It’s clear this restaurant doesn’t care about its customers, its cleanliness, or basic food safety. I will never return, and I strongly encourage others to avoid this location if you care about being treated with respect and receiving safe, quality food.

I have had problems here in the past, but unfortunately this is the closest one to my house. However this last trip was the last straw. I didn’t realize I got the wrong burger until I got home, since the inside was packed and all of my items were crammed into one bag with the fries sideways on top. I’m not sure how you managed to get the wrong burger into my bag when it had a special order tag on top & receipt on my bag clearly wasn’t this. Also, since they don’t provide you with an actual receipt when you order I can’t even open a ticket online because it requires the store #, which I don’t have. I can’t find it online and the store search function in the app doesn’t show any store anywhere in the country. I can’t imagine that putting the correct food in the bag can be so difficult when it’s literally listed on the outside. But apparently this location hires the absolute bottom of the barrel for employees. The burger I did receive was left out of another customer’s bag & I know this because he came in from the drive thru & I overheard him describing what it was he was missing.

Never again. The drive thru line was wrapped around the building so I thought going in would be quicker. Wrong.
No one taking orders now- have to order on a kiosk. While waiting, more people showed up- several from the drive thru line with food complaints- missing or cold items from what I took.
Whilst i was waiting the 15 minutes in my food- one woman in the dining area who was viseably getting irritated at her wait. When she finally received her order- she proceeded to bring her big Mac back to the counter but not after showing me the monstrosity of what she received. The buns were all thrown about in the big Mac box, the special sauce all over the box and lettuce looking like it was trying to escape. She proceeded to ask for the manager, who didnt come. But I stead sent a different employee to offer to make a new one. Whilst this was happening, there was a mild verbal altercation with a few guests. By now, there are at least 10 other people crowded all around the TINY food pick up counter, which also housed the napkins and utensils. So good luck trying to sneak thru that with the crowd forming waiting for their food to grab a napkin.
Food and drinks were brought out randomly, and never seeming to be a complete order. I saw no less than 5 guests bring back items or remind workers that they were missing something.
Somewhere in this time, my order was placed on top and I wasn’t made aware of its presence. No announcement or anything. I squeezed through the growing crowd of hungry guest and escaped, without any straws, utensils or sauces since they were blocked. My order was actually correct, however the fries in the happy meals looked similar to the big Mac the lady showed me- just thrown all over the happy meal box. Very few fries were actually in the fry box. And surprise surprise- they were cold (as many other guests had complained about). It wasn’t worth my time or safety to attempt to get it corrected. The nuggets and burger were also cold- cheese not even melted.
Maybe it was the chaos of grinch socks or maybe this place just sucks. But I wont be back.

They close whenever they want. Don’t trust the hours you see on Google or even the McDonald’s app. The people at night are extremely rude. I placed a mobile order. Got there at 10:45pm to pick it up in the drive thru. Sat at the speaker for at least 2-3 minutes (I guess while the lady with the headset was hoping I’d just drive off??) before she got on and very rudely told me they were closed. I told her online it shows them open 24 hours and she said “well we’re closed for the night”. Her attitude was awful, and the app sure did take my money. I’ll be sure to never go to this location again. Luckily Taco Bell was open and their employee was as friendly as could be. Happy my money went to them instead.

I came to get food for my kids and when I got to the second window they didn’t want to give me one of the happy meals I ordered. I handed him my receipt and I guess the wind blew it away while he was tryna give jt back, but still I had to keep repeating what I got. I got none of my drinks expect 2/6 until I ASKED for them. I still didn’t get one and stoped bothering and left. I also had asked for a some straws cause they didn’t hand me none for my 6 drinks and the guy walked away from the window. Terrible customer service honestly. Mind you there was a manager beside the guy at the window and she did nothing.

You can’t refill your own drink and have to wait for an employee to fill it for you, and of course that took like 4 minutes of waiting for an employee to even look towards the counter. Then it took the employee like 2 minutes to come back with my drink. Also the bathroom urinal is installed almost to the floor. I have no clue how this place has such high reviews, I’m betting it’s fake reviews.

Honestly, i wouldn’t recommend this McDonald’s. It really depends on what crew is working, but most of the time the food is either wrong or cold. My main complaint would be that the fries are honestly never really cooked well. The staff can be very kind. There’s nothing really ever wrong with the staff. But I’ve had many issues where they give me the wrong food, or it’s just not cooked correctly. I also have a main issue when I try to order inside, no one is really at the counter, Honestly someone should be at the counter at all times. It shouldn’t be that hard to get someone there to order your food, If you don’t wanna use the kiosk. I hope over time, it gets better!
