Restaurant August – New Orleans – MICHELIN Guide
Reviews
The lamb ravioli was the highlight of the night—delicate pasta filled with tender lamb, finished with a broth poured tableside that had the aromatic depth of a beautifully crafted pho. It was rich, fragrant, and memorable. The wagyu strip steak that followed was cooked with absolute precision, showcasing phenomenal quality and a perfect sear that made every bite feel luxurious.
For dessert, I had the strawberry shortcake paired with a latte. Light, fresh, and just sweet enough, it was a lovely way to end the meal.
A personal touch that made the evening even more special: the chef came out to greet me. It was wonderful putting a face to the food, and it added a warm, human note to an already outstanding experience.
August is the kind of restaurant that stays with you—thoughtful, flavorful, and absolutely worth a visit.
The food is always a feast for your senses appealing to your eyes, nose and mouth!
The opening act is an eggshell filled with a citrus mouse on top of a sweet potato on bottom. The triple tail was amazing. Tender, juicy, flavorful.
Overall one of the most impressive restaurants in NOLA!
Absolutely — here’s a polished, glowing review that captures the experience with warmth and professionalism:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Exceptional Dining Experience at August
Our group of 30 recently dined at August, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Coordinating a party of our size is no small task, yet the team at August handled every detail with the kind of precision, grace, and professionalism you’d expect from a world‑class fine dining restaurant.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed and cared for. Every course was beautifully presented, thoughtfully timed, and absolutely delicious. The attention to detail was remarkable — from the way the tables were arranged to the seamless service that never once felt rushed or overwhelmed.
What impressed us most was how effortlessly the team managed such a large group while still making the evening feel intimate and personalized. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the meal, the ambiance, and the exceptional service long after we left. It’s rare to find a restaurant that can deliver this level of excellence for a table of two, let alone thirty.
August exceeded every expectation and created a memorable dining experience that our entire group will be talking about for a long time. Highly recommended for anyone looking to elevate a special occasion or simply enjoy outstanding cuisine in a refined setting.
The food was presented well, although I expected more flavor. The atmosphere was a bit stuffy, but elegant.
I definitely expected much better service, especially given the cost. Being treated so poorly ruined my birthday and quite frankly, upset both of us, who have been in the industry.
The food was really wonderful. The amuse-bouche, appetizers, and desserts were outstanding. At this particular price point, I would have expected a scallop or two more on my entree (only 3), but flavors were on point and beautifully presented on all entrées.
So, overall, it was a good experience and delicious food, but we left feeling a little disappointed because of the disjointed service. (They did bring us a couple extra desserts as an apology for the service issues, but no formal apology acknowledging the failure to provide excellent service was given.)
Very elegant dining room, superb service. The options are chef’s menu or ala cart. We decided to go with the menu as I wanted to try venison with fore gra. It was prepared ala beef wellington. It was okay, but not as good as I had in the past . The appetizer I chose was wague tartar in Vietnamese fish sauce and lemongrass. Excellent. For me that was the high light of the dinner.
