An absolute gem and a must go to!! We ordered 2 Carne Asada burritos without rice and it was packed with meat beans and cheese. The green and red salsas were delicious and had the right heat. The tortilla had an almost smokiness to it. This is my new stop whenever heading into or from the desert but they are closed on Sundays! Great pricing and the staff were fantastic. The restroom was spotlessly clean!! It is takeout only.

Great chile verde burrito. Had awesome heat and large chunks of pork. Salsa and guacamole was delicious. No seating but worth eating in the car if you are on a road trip. Order ahead, 30-45 minute wait if you walk in during lunch.

Haven’t been here for years and was in the area so I decided to get a chili Verde burrito. It’s still one of the best chili Verde burrito I’ve had. I asked for the beans on the side and was told that it would be an extra charge. I loved the shrimp fajita burrito too, but it’s no longer on the menu. Overall I’m glad this establishment is still going strong!

Consuelo’s Home Style Mexican Restaurant is truly something special. During Covid, they didn’t just survive, they thrived by pivoting to pickup-only and continuing business as usual, and I’ve been grateful ever since.
They make the best beans I’ve ever had, and that includes any homemade beans I grew up eating at my grandmother’s house. The Chile Verde combo burritos are incredible, and the Chile Colorado is just as good. The tamales taste exactly like grandma made them, comforting, authentic, and full of flavor.
I’ve never had a bad meal here. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’ve had everything on the menu, which makes it surprising that I’m only now writing this review. Every single order has been consistently excellent.
What really sets Consuelo’s apart, though, is the people. They know our orders. They know our kids. They’ve watched them grow up over the years, and that kind of personal connection makes every pickup feel like more than just a transaction, it feels like family.
Absolutely love this place and their service. A true neighborhood gem that never disappoints.

One of the best Mexican food restaurants I have eaten. We had quesadilla with shredded beef, chimichanga with Carnitas and also shredded beef and carne Asada plate all the best. Prices are on point too. Ohh and the best chunky salsa ) thank you!

It’s good overall we’ve been going here for over 15 years. The only thing that’s unfortunate is they just close the sitting area and have no bathroom. The food is great but I gave it a three stars on atmosphere just because I wish there was at least an outdoors bathroom maybe with a passcode or key. And maybe an outdoor sitting area. But overall it was good

Everything was fine. The people were quite nice. The food was fine, not great, not bad. Time to get food was a little long. Chile verde was OK. I’ve had better. Chicken was OK, I’ve had considerably better. The carne asada was a tiny bit over salted. The beans were quite good. The rice was OK. Some reviews sang the praises of this place. Don’t go to Consuelos if you are expecting great food, you’ll be disapointed. If you’re looking to be fed and not disappointed, you’ll be satisfied.

Okay here it is The review that you want what I’m driving and I happen to be in banning I do drive a lot but when I’m going east my truck automatically starts to exit and I have to go to this place and I usually buy four burritos I get the chile verde burritos I get chile verde only with cheese these things are amazing and yes they are hot as fire they are so hot most people can’t handle them but they are so good The meat is so tender I don’t know how they do it and the sauce is just absolutely amazing My wife and I are really into this place and like I say when I swing by I grab four burritos I eat one immediately and then I’ll have another one for lunch then I’ll have two more that I can bring home lol

Consuelo’s Mexican food has great authentic food . The chili Verde burrito, potato tacos and the Nachos were amazing. Fresh, hot homemade food. Very clean establishment and great service. As of 4 /14/ 2022 they’re only doing take out .

My family and I are on a vacation so we stop for a bite to eat. My husband gets La Machaca oh my gosh it’s delishes! The ladies are so sweet the owner is a sweet heart ❤️ the only thing is that there is no dine in it’s only for take out. You can order the special.of the day or chose from breakfast or lunch menu. Either way you won’t be disappointed we found this place on yelp so many good reviews. Since we have been driving for almost 4 hrs we didn’t mind eating in our car. I definetly recommend this gem stop by check it out. My son and I had a breakfast burrito it was yummy I didn’t take a picture of it it looks just like a burrito lol so you get the just of it. I definitely will.post La Machaca. Prices are good for what you get this is not a fast food place. It’s made to order. If I’m on this side of town next trip this will be my staple. Thank you to Consuelo and her great team a family away from home.
