I happened to be there for happy hour and wanted the queso and guacamole with chips but prices on the happy hour menu and the regular menu were the same if not more so I asked what the happy hour prices were for them and she said the same price that was on the regular menu so I asked where was the happy hour price and she said she had no control over that. So check before you order they don’t give you happy hour prices like it says in the happy hour menu. Also the last few times I been here the rice has been old. I’m legit Mexican I know these things and I have asked for fresh rice and they give me the same old rice. Just FYI

Tonight was disappointing. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but my experience changed that. After paying, my change was kept without being asked whether I wanted to leave it as a tip. What made it more concerning was noticing that this did not appear to happen with other customers. Transparency and equal treatment matter. I hope management addresses this.

Three of us ate there last night. Food was absolutely incredible. I had the Chilaquiles my lady had pork Rios and another lady had tacos. Service and food were incredible. Our waitress was amazing. There’s only two waitresses in the whole deal. She totally kicked ass. What a great place would recommend it highly atmosphere awesome But that road is on as a piece of crap.

We were patted down at the door for weapons. We got seated and a man that was leaving started talking at us. Then he flashed his gun at us right in the middle of the restaurant. None of the staff tried to remove him, but he finally left.

There were only six of us and we were required to pay a 30% gratuity not to mention the server was very inattentive. The gratuity was very steep for only six of us and we were traveling for business… We needed our transactions separated, but now we have to explain to our Managers why we couldn’t separate them out…. One person ended up paying the whole thing and The others had to literally Venmo because they would not split more than three checks and it took 20 minutes at least to get the credit card transaction finalized and I saw multiple servers with their phones out, almost looking like they were taking photos of my card

I would HIGHLY recommend getting the HUARACHE Al Pastor! It is full of flavor and taste amazing. I will continue to visit El Pueblito!
FYI- NO ONE answers the phone…I’m not even sure it works at this point. The only way to order is to walk in and place your order. When I picked up my order the other day, I sat their by myself and called their number to test it out. I didn’t hear the phone ring nor did the one person that was working. I even called a second time to make sure. I will admit, if the restaurant isn’t busy, you’ll usually get your order within 10-15 minutes!

Food was ok atmosphere was relax honestly on the waiter service I could of gave her a better rating but when it came to paying and the part of her tip she was trying to obligate me to give her a good tip left $20 and I guess that wasn’t enough and gave that is that all face. Nancy you need to do better. And don’t start me on the food wasn’t the greatest.

Went here with friends for some late night food (after 3am) and was very happy with the food, service and all around experience! The staff explained everything to us and made sure we had a great meal…Each of us ordered something different and it was all exceptional! the refried beans are the best I’ve had in KC, thanks again!

I love their food but unfortunately they dont like call in orders thats about 5 plates. I have to call numerous times last Sunday. This Sunday I called twice and they answered, just long enough to take my order then put me on hold for 10 min and then hang up. So I will gladly not be visiting here again.
