Here I am in Denver Colorado on a road trip across the country. As a New Englander I’m a Patriots fan and was looking for somewhere to watch the game and lay low while I had some pizza. After many recommendations from many different people I chose Ester’s. It was extremely cold I parked my car walked across the street and into what some people would consider to be the Lion’s den. I am a Patriots fan walking into a local bar pizza shop in Denver Colorado where all I could see was a sea of orange and blue. The server was magnificent! I think her name was Kathleen. She was lovely she did not miss a trick. She gave me good recommendations. She was Johnny on the spot with the tequila and the beer. I recommend that if you go on a Saturday or Sunday you ask for her to be your server. Now as for the food, I’m not usually a thin crust person. But those pizzas that I tried were excellent. My server recommended getting half and half, so I decided to try two different ones. I forget the names of what I had but one half was a pepperoni and the other was fig, prosciutto and arugula. Delicious! And this is coming from someone who doesn’t believe putting fruit on pizza should be allowed.
I also had a half Caesar salad and yes it was good.
The beer I had was a microbrew I think. Normally I drink either Sam Adams or Stella Artois but those choices were not available. So when I saw Shilling, I thought Kurt Shilling played for the Red Sox – it’s a sign.
As it was my birthday weekend my wonderful service included a monster piece of carrot cake. I couldn’t finish it because it was HUGE! So after the Patriots won the game I quietly slinked out into the snow ❄️ with leftovers in hand.
Sometime later that night I relived the experience by watching game highlights and being a fat kid eating my leftovers. Ahhh yummy.
Edit: I may have to return for the super bowl

I think Esther‘s food is really pretty good and service is also decent but it’s proximity to dang ice cream and the place space for kids out by the patio Makes it absolutely fantastic for families especially with young kids. We go at least a few times a year when the weather is nice and enjoy having pizzas on the patio while the kids play and then heading over to get ice cream. I love the casual atmosphere And the speed at which food comes out. I think it’s an overall great neighborhood spot but especially for families.

Came in on a kids night. Free kids cheese pizza for the kiddos! The staff was friendly and we were sat almost immediately. I loved the subtle differences they put on takes of pizza. As the figs with arugula and prosciutto was actually a fresh bite! And made the wings were absolutely delicious! We’ll be back for more.

Great food. My second visit while visiting family. Really good pizza and the berry salad is really amazing. Our server was very friendly. The only thing I wouldn’t order again was the smoked salmon pizza appetizer. Oh and get the root beer on tap if you like root beer.

Friendly fast service, extensive beer list, and most importantly really good pizza. Good dough, slightly spicy sauce, the perfect amount of cheese. The Mikey was incredible. I’d try the sesame wings next time too.

Essentially a sports bar with pizza and other food. As they don’t have personal sized pizzas, I ordered from the brunch menu which is largely breakfast items. The classic is still a lot of food. The bacon and Biscuit were fine. The scrambled egg needed seasoning. The potatoes were okay, but would have benefited from a little onion for additional flavor. A few of them were a bit burned. The best thing on the plate was the berry jam for the biscuit.
Service was fine. The space was reasonably comfortable and had a lot of TVs showing various sports. It was very loud from the conversations going on and the music level. They do have guest Wi-Fi.
The parking lot can easily fill during peak times, but there is on street parking in the surrounding neighborhood.

I had the meatball sandwich on gluten free bread and it was delicious. The gluten wasn’t anything incredible but it was still good, not dry like most gluten free bread. Very nice staff, easy to talk too.

Though the food here is usually great, I cannot recommend them to anyone who has any food allergies. We had an unfortunate experience here where we had mentioned to our server at the beginning of a serious allergy for a child in our party, however it was disregarded and resulted in a significant exposure that could have been easily avoided. I understand mistakes happen, but the situation overall was handled poorly and makes me question the training staff have regarding food allergies. If you don’t have any dietary restrictions this place is great, however if you do I would recommend proceeding with caution

This was a great pizza place. If you have kids there’s a ice cream shop next-door and a big artificial grass area where they can run and play in which is beside the points but we didn’t have kids, but it was still OK. We had the pepperoni pizza and we had the barbecue pork pizza and both were really yummy. The large salad is enough to share for three seems like a great place to watch sports as well

I moved into the neighborhood August 2024 we died with you guys either dine in or takeout at least 4 times a month. I have never been charged for extra dressing for my salads, whether I’ve been in dine or takeout until today. As a person who works in the service industry, it’s a rule of thumb if you’re not gonna charge your dining guest for something extra, you shouldn’t charge your takeout guest. Kat, the owner of Torpedo Coffee shop would never charge extra for salsa for your breakfast burrito rather, she would remember and put it in the bag next time so you don’t even have to ask and she’s a small business owner.
