Always cool space to grab a drink and some food. Came here for a later lunch and it took awhile to get served. The waitress was very nice, but seemed to be the only one for the whole place, which was too few.
The fried cheese curds are highly recommended, but would probably go better with ranch vs the marinara it came with. My tuna melt was ok, but the tuna salad inside still seemed kind of cold. Good tap beer selection.
Nice view overlooking bay.

Holy gut bomb. I don’t think I have had greasier food. We went through a stack of napkins. I got the BLT and the bacon was super limp and fatty. My fries were oddly way over cooked. Just this side of burnt, but somehow cold. Like they’d been sitting a while. My son had to have an expensive adult burger (despite the fact that he only gets meat and ketchup on his), because they were out of kids sized ones? His was mad greasy too. He ate it but he didnt look like he enjoyed it at all. The service was soooo slow to boot. All in all, I seriously doubt I’d ever come back.

This is such a cute little place. The back bar area has a beautiful view. My husband got the fish and chips and I got the fishwich with house made chips. Both were delicious! We can’t wait to go back to try more. The chicken was popular as people around us were attempting to order it but they were out of it.

Great food in a welcoming historic location. Great history in the place and amazing crisps. I had the fishwich which was huge and so delicious. Great local beers and locally sourced dishes.

We came 40 min before closing and they just stared at us, so we had to ask if they were still serving. Wait staff was abrupt and came across annoyed. My son’s lemonade was forgotten at first, and there was so much ice it was done in one sip (luckily we got a refill).
The entrance here is odd because it’s very narrow with a big chunk of open kitchen on one side that’s pretty loud. It looks like it opened up more in the back but we couldn’t sit back there since we had an 18 year old with us. There was a band playing that was pretty good, but you couldn’t see them from the front seating wrea.
They were serving late night menu of fried items with some things sold out. Prices were very good, with generous portions though. BEST fries!

I’ve been by this place so many times but never stopped in. Decided to give it a try and it was way bigger than it looked from the outside. We sat in the back and had a great view of the water. It was mid afternoon and busy. We got there right when they were setting up for a band.
Food was pretty good. We got the cheese curds which were delicious, they were served with some cheesy garlic marinara. They’d be good with a jalapeño jelly too.
Then we ordered a burger, French dip, and fish and chips. Everything was good but my fish and chips had a lot of breading on them. And the fish was a little tough. Overall we had a good time, the server was super nice and friendly. Came over a bunch of times to update us on our food and apologized for any delays. We will come back!

This place is AMAZING! I come here every time I’m in town. My mom’s husband is a regular. I was just there about a week ago and had a burger, hands down one of the BEST burgers I’ve ever had! No joke. The condiment distribution, pickles, chips, and everything else were spot on. I also requested a gluten-free bun, and shockingly, it was amazing!

The vibe of the place is incredible, super old school, quaint, and inviting. The room feels both intimate and open, and the exposed brick gives it an authentic historic charm. You can really feel the history here, from the countless good times shared to the energy of real people enjoying themselves. The live music just elevates the whole experience!

This is a must-stop if you’re staying in or just passing through Tacoma.

Fish and chips were solid, not amazing, but I would definitely order again. The weekly special was an Hawaiian burger with pineapple and jalapeno. It was AMAZING. The flavors just worked and was honestly one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. I’m not typically a fan of bar food, but this was definitely elevated. As an unexpected bonus they had live music which added to the evening enjoyment.
