Let me get into my experience with this specific location. As soon as we entered the door and were seated we were greeted with loud whistling. We were seated in the bar area. We noticed the whistling was coming from the associate cleaning behind the bar. I told my fiancé that when our server came we would ask that they have their fellow co worker stop whistling to EVERY song that came on. Unfortunately, after several moments the whistler approached our table and introduced themselves as our server. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer. When our drinks were brought to us, I was brought a regular coke rather than a Diet Coke as requested. We ordered our meal as well. Not what we favored, but settled for something so we could eat, drive our hour long trip home, and go to bed as we had been up all night from work. My fiancé finished his drink prior to finishing his meal and was never offered a refill. We had to request a refill. When my drink was replaced and when he received his refill we were not given new glasses. I personally have never ate somewhere where they did not bring out a fresh clean cup. That was new to me. Our server never once removed our trash from our appetizer. Again, I’m use to servers approaching several times saying “Here, let me get this out of your way.” and removing dirty dishes/ trash. Needless to say the service receives a one star because of this. The atmosphere receives a one star as well due to the endlessly loud whistling we had to hear the whole time we ate.
The little machine we paid for our meal on gave a small survey and asked if a manager came to our table to introduce themselves. No, this did not happen. Normally I wouldn’t have cared, but it would have been nice to express our concerns in real time. It also asked if we were offered endless fries. Of course not. We were not offered refills let alone more fries.
Aside from this, I hope the Southern Charm returns!! I also miss the old award system Red Robin had. After so many burgers I’d receive a free one or a deal on one. Again, I know this is a corporate wide ordeal that changed years ago.
Thank you to the young man that brought our food out to us when it was done. All he did was bring it out, but he seemed polite. This was probably the highlight of the whole visit.
The receipt in my email mentioned our severs name was Zayna. So, Zayna, if you were wondering why you had a 0% tip. Your whistling was disturbing. The lack of refills and trash removal were effected as well.
She was so good, we asked to speak to the Manager. Brad, the Manager responded promptly. He was pleasant, listened to comments and was genuinely pleased to hear such good feedback.
They even wrapped the Red Robin mascot like a mummy. It added that extra bit of fun to the atmosphere. Lovely experience.
It’s been a while since I have eaten here, Probably five years. We ordered a glass of wine and a Spiked Freckled Lemonade. For dinner tonight we each had the Red Robin Gourmet Cheeseburger with fries. Food came out quickly, cooked as ordered and a pretty tasty burger. To finish we had the Mountain High Mudd Pie. Yummy!
Our server was excellent. Checked in frequently and was quick to get us our food and drinks.
Checking out was simple as you use the kiosk on the table.
Overall a good of meal with good service.
Because I had such a good experience with the manager and the way he handled it, it only made me want to continue to come back to the restaurant and give you my business. It’s the little things like this that actually make a big impression and I really appreciate the man’s kindness and understanding to the situation. He was aware of the loss of the cross by that customer and he was happy to meet the person who recovered it for the Red Robin customer.
Please let your employee know that there are people like me who appreciate such fine individuals like Mr. Nelson. Keep up the good work.
