This past Sunday my family went out to the restaurant to get some good ol’ southern food. The hostess was very accommodating and the staff was very friendly. The food was delicious that night and the next.. unfortunately I came late and could not experience some of the fried dishes, but from what I heard and saw my dad devoured that pork chop…he said it was flavorful and tender.

I ordered Uber Eats and they sent the wrong sides. That would not have been so much a problem if the food was good. Except it wasn’t. I was a quite shocked at how bland the food was. The string beans were canned and bland, the collards were frozen and bland, and the cheese in the mac and cheese was DISGUSTING! I have a wicked sweet tooth but I even threw the coconut cake in the garage, The food was comparable to hospital or cafeteria food. I was exceptionally disappointed. Unacceptable.

I’ve been to the old one before they moved and enjoyed it. This new spot way better more intimate and cozy. Also the food was slamming. Let me say they do need a few more hands cause the business is poppin and consist customers coming in. Can I say the tall young lady was great and so pleasant I don’t know her name but a beautiful spirit. Our waiter which was also the bartender lolol Crystal man oh man she’s the bomb. She was great and official. Really loved the service from beginning to end. My aunts enjoyed the service and especially food. My God!!!! Definitely will make it my business to return at least once a month lolol. Love ya

The food was so good. We a repass there and had a buffet style dinner, only thing missing was corn bread. But the staff was very short with people. Also sort of rude . No smiles. Did not feel welcomed. The owner needs to address them to be a little more inviting. Honey can go a long way than vinegar. Just saying

I enjoy the food but the service is horrible. I ordered delivery. Two dinners $60! I called the store a specifically ask them to send extra condiments. What did i get …NONE. After they said no problem they’d sent it. Fried fish & shrimp…NO TARTAR SAUCE NO HOT SAUCE. I called back after the food was delivered and i was told “ I told my sister and she forgot” UNACCEPTABLE! I paid $60 and could even get ketchup for fries! I am pissed and they aren’t getting another dollar from me. She didn’t offer a desert for a next purchase or anything for the inconvenience. Im not supporting businesses that thinks customers service is no big deal

The food was tasty and not overly seasoned. Had the smothered porkchops. I was given 2 and was tender and a nice portion. Sides were also generous in thier own small bowls. Servers were courteous but forgetful. Forgot the drinks, knives and cornbread, had to ask 3 times. Maybe under staffed but always had a smile. The price was reasonable. My meal was $17. Must of the dishes are in the same range so it makes it easy for Bill splitting. The server also offered to split the bill, which she did immediately on her hand held Device. She completed the payment at the table if using a credit card. Thinking about returning for a Sunday take out.

The worst first experience ever. I called in a order for pick up and was told 45min. I got there and still had to wait 45 min and to be told they ran out of beef ribs smh. I told them to give me pork ribs instead. They did not try to accommodate me at all for the long wait: The food was tasteless. I never experience bland soul food ever. They have to do better with their inventory if they want satisfying customers.

The service was horrible. A wait staff flirted with a man who was visiting her instead of helping customers. The food was mediocre..my fish was overfried, cornbread dry, okra side dish was watery and tasteless, and they ran out of cranberry juice. The bartender didn’t bother to ask if I wanted something else to drink after casually saying “we don’t have no more,” while shaking her ample rear to the live music.
It’s safe to say it was my first and last time there.
