From Texas, lived in St. Louis, and traveled the world, this is great BBQ here.
The sauces are perfect and versatile with their meats. The meats were all on point and great without any sauce.
The sandwiches are thought-out with the toppings.
The sides are large, we easily shared 1 side with 2 others. Sprouts are crispy and not oily. Could use a bit of heat there, but seasoned well.
Mac and Cheese on point, not over powering.
Wish I could have stayed longer.
Its situated in the building with the hotel so it has a nice open waiting area and restrooms.
Great find!

I stopped by for a late lunch found there was nobody in line and the service was quick and prompt and friendly. The plate was served generously and looked great. I had the brisket, pork belly and the pulled pork. I had a side of potato salad with bacon bits.. Barbecue sauces were Limited in options, one of the best being a green hot sauce. Everything Was average. I wish there was more flavor to the bark of the brisket and the pulled pork. We all know if you’re into barbecue that brisket goes to the cutting board to die. My second picture reflect the quality of the brisket after 15-20 minutes unfortunately was just dry. I’ve heard a lot of great stuff and I’m willing to give this place another try as a self-professed barbecue connoisseur I want to really like this place. Wanted a little more wow, Especially since my bill was around $55 plus tip! At that rate, we expect some pretty phenomenal barbecue.

When I got here the line was almost to the front door. When I finally got my food there were only 3 people in line, wish I would have waited. I got the pork sandwich, which was their special of the day, and a half pound of ribs. The best thing about my meal was the brioche bun that the sandwich was on.

Smok Barbecue serves barbecued meats at the entrance of a hotel complex in the LoDo area of town. Picture an open dining space with long tables and bench seating, music and sports playing in the background, free unsweetened ice teas and all the refillable sauces you could possibly consume.
The menu is fairly straightforward: meats of all cuts, including the burnt end bits, eaten on a platter as well as being great fillings in tacos. They also have all the traditional sides people expect from a barbecue.
We opted to sample a little bit of everything and were impressed by the execution across their range. All of their meats (chicken, brisket, ribs) met our expectations with their melt-in-the-mouth feel and lingering wood smoke aroma. Nothing was too salty so the best of the meat flavours came through. It was no surprise that the same meats were a great fit in the tacos.
We loved our sides too: The corn bread was dense and filling. The popcorn sized deep-fried okra had a sensational mix of textures between smooth and crunchy. The refillable cups of cold tea were so light and refreshing we kept going back to the dispenser.
A delightful experience overall and we would heartily recommend this to all barbecue lovers visiting Denver.

Had to have chopped link on my brisket sandwich. Damn this was good. The sandwich had pieces of lean and fatty brisket on it and the rendered fat on the meat was . Mac and cheese was good. My only complaint was that I like my food a tad more warm. We came on a Friday for lunch and beat the rush by showing up around 11am. Parking stinks at Source is my only complaint. $10/hr is a bit ridiculous but the bbq was ridiculously good so, I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Smok, you won my heart.

I’m giving it 5 stars because I think it is one of best BBQ spot in Denver. What I liked the most was the variety of options on the menu. They got tacos, quesadillas, and other creative menu items.
The burnt ends were a bit dry but I still liked the flavor. I came after a while and ordered two portions of burnt ends and were very different with much lesser crust, something I did not enjoy.
The quesadillas were tasty and the portion was big. Cream corn had a touch of heat but was nice. The place was also spacious, with plenty of tables and seats. Overall I recommend this place.

I asked for lean 1/4lb brisket. After complaining to staff about the definition of lean, I was laughed at. Rude, ignorant staff. The meat was dry and very little flavor. The sauce was as generic as bottled. The place was clean for what I could see. The bar is about it, but I don’t drink. After complaining about the fat, I was told to leave, so I quickly tried the meat, ignoring the man telling me to leave.
For a high end Hotel/shops/restaurants, DONT GO TO SMOK, there’s other places to eat. Don’t let the smells deceive you!

This was the perfect place to grab lunch with friends on our trip to Devner this past April. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the option of outdoor seating on a lovely spring afternoon. There were also plenty of gluten-free and dairy-free options available on the menu. Would definitely return!

Tried the spicy chicken wings and the brisket sandwich, both were absolutely delicious! The food, service, and atmosphere were all 10/10. Highly recommend if you’re in Denver and craving great BBQ.

Our son lives in Colorado Springs and told me about this place. I was here working this week and didn’t get a chance to get here sooner but was determined to try it before heading to the airport. Glad I did. The atmosphere is like many BBQ places. The food is not, it’s better. Side portions are bigger than many places. Plenty of brisket on my sandwich, it came with one side, I got one extra because I couldn’t make up my mind which one. I loved the beans. Mac & Cheese was really good too.
